Yeah it should take me about 5 or 6 years since it's a

Doctorate degree...I have not decided if my final

degree will be N.D. (natural doctor) or Ph.D.

(Doctorate of Philosophy in natural health).

I have 1.5 years left of my bachelor's..then 2 years

Masters, 2 years doctorate...plus a practicum..bleah.

Right now I am taking classes locally..but I am going

to have to get some certification which may involve

some travel...

I am a bit worried though..some organization is trying

to push so that you have to be an MD to be a

naturopath which is ridiculous since naturopaths do

not do ANY Surgery (or even put in an IV)...do not

prescribe medication...and should never try to handle

anything which you should be going to an MD for..

this is already the law in 5 states...but it doesn't

seem to be expanding from there...

I see a naturopath as a combination

nutritionist/master herbalist...though I have

considered also studying to be a midwife...I believe

we overuse our MDs and are extremely quick to pop

pills or get ourselves cut open to fix a problem (I

myself suffered extreme stomach aches for months and

had a diagnostic laporoscopy..which was

inconclusive...I am managing my stomach pains with

diet and meditation)...I think some of the medical

community sees naturopaths as trying to take over the

position of an MD..this is SO WRONG...M.D.s are

WONDERFUL...if you are bleeding, feverish...oh about a

dozen other things....GO SEE A DOCTOR...any naturopath

who would tell you otherwise SUCKS...while most

naturopaths are " Dr.s " ..they are not

DOCTORS...naturopaths have " clients " not

" patients " ......and..and..I'm ranting, aren't I?
