I don't have the recipe, but I'll ask my aunt for in on Thanksgiving! I'm sure that there are similar recipes floating around on the internet, you could try googling it!julie a wrote: that pumpkin crunch cake sounds amazing! can you send me the recipe...? :)vintage_beautyxo <vintage_beautyxo> wrote: My aunt makes the most AMAZING pumpkin crunch cake every year. She's the baker of

the family, haha. It's two layers of pumpkin cake with chopped pecans and homemade whipped cream in between, with more whipped cream smothered over the top. it is BEYOND delicious. i always make sure to leave room for it on thanksgiving! Me,too! Maybe you could just post the recipe here, so we can all see

it,lol!

I LOOOVE pumpkin pie. We never had it growing up, so when I moved

across the country and started making my own holiday meals, we started

having pumpkin, pecan, and apple pies at the holidays. And not one of

my in-laws says the " c " word (calories) at all! A big change from my

own family! Holidays were so rife with tension and overeating and

guilt. Now, they're just fun.

Pecan pie.

Fabulous!! Its nice to hear that people really do ENJOY holidays. To

me such 'events' tend to fall into the 'helliday' category which I

have learned to happily dodge too ;-)

So... My mom knows my brothers favorite Christmas cookie and my

sisters favorite Christmas cookie. And two years ago she put together

a family tradition cookbook for all of us. And for the life of her she

couldn't remember what my favorite Christmas cookie... Maybe after

reading my list below you'll understand why. ;)

- homemade sugar cookies with a ton of frosting (if it only as one

thin line of frosting outlining it - what is the point?)

- toffee bars

- hot chocolate

- pierogies (homemade by me. ;) )

- cranberry bread

- chocolate clusters (with mixed nuts, marshmallows, and some crunchy

ingredient that for the life of I can't remember)

- chocolate peanut butter cups

- caramel (homemade of course ;) )

- my grandma's white bread recipe

- baked brie with cherry almond sauce on top

- meltaways

ok - so the list could go on forever... But I'll stop there.
