Guest guest
Dave, I have toyed with the idea of doing more Diabetic type discussions on my cooking show but, so far, I have not had a lot of feedback. I did notice that you came into the chat room and then left. I think that I also noticed that you were asking for help in doing the text chatting or voice? If you would like to do some Diabetic discussions no one on the show is against it. No one has brought it up yet. I am sure that my adopted sister, Nan, would not be adverse to going in that direction. In fact, I happen to know that several of the folks who join me are either Diabetic or live with one. Now, I think Vicki has a Diabetic show on Saturday mornings. Unfortunately, I am not usually available at that time so I have no idea about the content of her show. Anyway, if you want to participate in the show please join us and also just let me know so I will have something on tap for you. Cy, the ancient Okie... Re: Good evening That explains it. Guest guest
Hi Cy and Dave, I think it would be great to see something about once or twice a month for diabetics. There are so many people with diabetes these days or have a family member who has diabetes that it might be good idea to have a few good recipes or suggestions and helps. I plan to go to the cjoy discussions on saturday. Brother Cy What do you think about one or two times a month ? Sis Nan Re: Good evening > > > > > > Saturday mornings, At 10:30 A.M. Guest guest
Hi. Well, yes, Darryl and I have a discussion on diabetes on saturday at 10:30. We have had 2 shous so far and we encourage suggestions on what to talk about. Shal we have a diabetic recipe sometimes? My vote would be to have a diabetic recipe at time on tuesday night with Cy, but I realize the majority of folks listening are not diabetic and might not like too much of it. Count me in though if you do some. It is excellent thougha a lot of the things discussed are relevant to anyone, like cooking roasts, other meat, many other things. Vicki " For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. " (1 Thessalonians 4:14 & 17) Re: Good evening > > > > > > Saturday mornings, At 10:30 A.M. Eastern, 09:30 A.M. Guest guest
Egg is good but not egg plant. Summer squash is good but the only acceptable spaghetti is pasta. Mushrooms should go back to the cool, dark, damp, hide outs from whence they came. Olives may be substituted for marbles in a pinch, but are not meant for eating. Peppers make attractive decorations if you don't have flowers, but aren't fit for human consumption and Mike is rarely wrong, but he's way wrong about tomatoes, my valentines, my staff of life, my favorite healthy food since birthday cake frosting isn't allowed to be my favorite any more. Guest guest
, So proud of you!!!!!! That is wonderful!!!!! I still haven't been brave enough to go for the ice cream yet. I think I will eat too much. I will have to wait a while to try that until I am more used to hunger/fullness. KathyKipkabob wrote: Hi everyone! I had a great evening last night! I actually felt my fullness and didn't eat! I had a great supper...homemade pizza and a little bowl of ice cream for dessert and I never felt hungry again all evening. I debated the ice cream at suppertime but I really wanted it so I had it. It was the first evening in a long time that I actually listened to my body and didn't eat just to eat. Oh and I only had 2 pieces of the pizza because I felt that was enough to satisfy me. Normally I go crazy and gobble down half the pizza (4 slices). It was a good day for intuitive eating!
