Guest guest
: <<BIG GRIN>> Actually, I like tomatoes in a salad or in dishes such as casseroles or hamburgers. But too many tomatoes in a salad or plain tomatoes don't grab me. Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry, but I want to agree with Victor. I can not handle all of the chat room like chit chat so I have started deleting all of the diabetics posts. I hope I don't delete something impportant. This list was created to pass important information to blind diabetics and it is a worth while list, so could we please stick to more useful information. Guest guest
Well, Jerry There really is limited chit-chat. There is a lot of important info in the form of fun chatter; that chatter often makes some very good points. Re: Good evening Hi, I'm sorry, but I want to agree with Victor. Guest guest
Hi Nan: We're learning to read labels and look for carbs so that I can watch out and not overdo. I sure appreciate your prayers and hope that I do not become overwhelmed by doing too much at once. it's going to be interesting to see what the dietician has to say next Wednesday because my guess is that I'm probably doing some things wrong and some things right. I figure I'll either be more confused when I leave the appointment or I'll be more straightened out. You all have helped me a lot here and have indeed confirmed some things that I am doing right such as watching my carbs. Becky and Cassidy, Pilot Dog, Poodle maddpoodle27@... Guest guest
I happened to tune into the cooking tips program on Tuesday evening but was surprised that there was really no discussion as how it all related to diabetics. Perhaps it usually does and just didn't tonight. Incidently, perhaps someone could email me off list as how to do the type chat thing. I haven't done much of this over the years. Thanks. Dave Re: Good evening Saturday mornings, At 10:30 A.M. Eastern, 09:30 A.M. Central, a new internet radio program " Your Diabetes " , comes to Cjoy Internet Radio. Guest guest
Hi cassia, i know how you feel about being overwhelmed. The first time I went to the store after going to the detain it took me two hours. but it was well worth the time. You might want to take someone with you the first time you tackle the store for reading labels. After a while it becomes fun. You have the attitude that will help you exceed in doing what you have to do. Guest guest
Be sure to let us know what the dietician tells you to do. I hope he is not going to confuse you with the American Diabetes Association food exchange plan, which I think is practically worthless. The food exchange plan will almost guarantee future diabetic complications. If your dietician does not stress carb counting, he is probably out of touch with modern technology.
