Guest guest
Hi Harry: I've already started a record of what I eat and the number of carbs. I figured the only way that I would ever be able to keep track of what I eat each day would be to write it down. Since I keep my other records here it made perfect sense to add that record as well. You have a good suggestion here and I sure appreciate your advice. Becky and Cassidy, Pilot Dog, Poodle maddpoodle27@... Guest guest
Mike, Crystal owns 2 meters. She only uses one but the other one is a back up in case she gets some really off the wall reading. This has happened a couple of times and it is a good thing to have some way of cross checking. I can't remember what the problem with the meter was but it was fuzzed up and she had to re-calibrate it. Cy, the Ancient Okie... Re: Good evening Yup. Guest guest
Eat plenty of meats including beef, lamb, chicken, pork, turkey, fish and most any other kind of meat. Protein is filling and it does not contain carbs and if it does, only one or two of them. At any rate not enough to matter too much when counting carbs. Also eat plenty of vegetables, cheeses, nuts and whole fruits. Stay away from fruit juices, because they are a refined carbohydrate like corn meal and flour and any thing made with them. If you are a type 2,and for that matter a type 1, you should eat only whole grain products. Besides whole grain has more flavor. Eat two or more salads each day, and if you do not like salads, learn to like them. I like my salads with lots of lettuce, cabbage, celery, cheese, carrots, tuna or steak, nuts and most any thing you can put in one with my favorite dressing red wine vinegar and oil on it along with salt and pepper. Yum yum, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Enjoy! <smile> Good evening >> >> >>> Hi Everyone: >>> >>> I just wanted to pop in and say hello to you all.
