Guest guest
: I should think that's a realistic goal. As for the cold hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and warm water; let the warm water run on them for a minute or two and you should have less trouble getting enough blood. Hang in there! Guest guest
, It sounds very realistic and I am sure we are all proud of you for all the hard work you are doing. Wish I could ride for that long! I did get a thing called a pedal exerciser, which is basically a set of jut bike pedals. It is small and you can adjust it different strength. You can put it anywhere as it is small and you canalso put it on the table, thjus giving yourself arm exercises. Re: Question I still don't like the finger sticks. My hands have been so cold lately that there are times when I have to wait until I have ridden my bicycle and they warm up. It's been cool in the house the last few mornings and that's why. By the way, for anyone interested, I called and got the results of my A1C today. I'm not thrilled, but we're going in the right direction. It went from 13.? to 10.3 which is an improvement. It took me 6 weeks to get it down that far. Now my medication is increased and yesterday I rode my bike for an hour and fifteen minutes. Not bad considering that ten days ago I could only ride it for two minutes. I think I'm going in the right direction, I just need to hurry up and get there. My goal is to be able to ride for an hour in one session by the beginning of October. And, by the next A1C, I would like it to be down at least three more points if not more. Does that sound realistic? Guest guest
Hi, Pat, Thank you, and all of you have voiced your support. I certainly appreciate it. I have a bicycle here in the dining room next to the computer which is next to the window. Now that it's getting cooler, I can open the window and stay cool. I have the kind of bike where the handle bars move back and forth so you get double the action. I alternate hand positions which helps your arms. My problem is that I get tired of sitting on the seat and I have to get off after so long a time. I'm just trying to be patient and wait for the next testing time to come around. After reading through some of Harry and Mike's messages I get the shivers. Every time I am tempted to do something I shouldn't, I will think about the messages. If I ever had any doubts about riding and eating right, I don't now. Unfortunately, that's no guarantee, though. Guest guest
My online book club is offering the book Devotions for Nibblers for .99 if I purchase another book regular prices. Is this a good book to use with IE? I thought someone had mentioned this book on the list. Not sure. Thanks for the help. Guest guest
oh..also.the drs office took my temp..98.1 bp......122/81 leisa Subject: questionTo: RT3_T3 Date: Monday, February 23, 2009, 5:08 PM I swapped armour for 25 mcg t3 on January 9th.Since then, Ive upped the t3 each time Ive gotten that bone cold feeling and slight constipation. About every week a raise.. then February 1st I was at 75 mcg and really felt good for about 3 whole weeks. I thought that meant I would just stay there. Now Im confused because a few days ago I abruptly got the bone cold and constipation( and the same air hunger heart thing) again...So, I rose another 12.5 2 days ago to 87.50. Is this wierd? Why did I feel good for a longer time...and will I keep needing to raise? Its fustrating. Just when you think you feel great, you need to raise.I am getting my ft3 and ferritin and aldosterone checked again in the next few days...so...questions1. should I not take any iron..how many days before test(I havent been taking it too much, but now feel I need it, and dont want to alter the ressults terribly)2.I know we are not supposed to take the am dose of t3 that very day...but if the pm dose basically wears off by morning..then how will the ft3 be acurate? Im looking to see when the ft3 will actually get up there.3. If I was taking the 25,25,25 dose....where should I add the new 12.5? I have been adding it to the am dose. 37.5,25,25. But, since Ill be trying to check levels...should I instead add the extra 12.5 to the pm dose. like..25,25,37.5------------------------------------
