Guest guest Report post Posted July 17, 2001 Lynne, Welcome to the group. I myself am just starting out with WW. I know about having friends that are sabatogers. Although, i'm usually the one doing the sabatoging. I have a hard time with friends and family losing weight when I seem to always fail at it. I hate myself for doing it, but I find that I still do it. My mother in law has lost weight on and off for the 15 years that I have known her. She fluctuates from 225 to 150 all the time. One summer she will diet and lose 70 pounds no problem then the winter comes and it comes back on. She has done all the FAD diets out there. Her latest one was the no carb diet. I guess i'm not sure if I sabotage her or just inform her too much of what's right and wrong. I know sometimes I should just keep my mouth shut but I usually don't. At least she has been doing something where I have been doing nothing, until now. All the diets she does are just that...diets. She lost 70 pounds a few years ago on the slim fast diet. I asked her if she planned on drinking those for the rest of her life and she said no, just until she lost her weight. As soon as she was down to 150, she started eating normal food again and gained her weight back. The same thing happened a few months ago with her no carb diet. As soon as she was losing and added carbs back in, she gained all her weight back. I have always said that I would rather stay at 250 then to constantly go from a size 24 down to a 14 and back to a 24 within one year...every year. I'm hoping that after I succeed with the WW plan that she will try this out and succeed herself. Anyways...welcome to the list! Guest guest Report post Posted July 17, 2001 Hello Lynne and Welcome to the group!! I'm finally getting around to email today... Our Palm downloads are in the Files (on the left when you're on the site) in the Downloads for Palm Pilot folder. Be sure to download the listfull.zip file first, then the rest of the downloads. I don't have a Palm, but we have a couple of members that do and if you post a question I'm sure they'll answer you in no time!! We also have a link to Akash'a website where all the restaurant files for Palm's are, just go to our Bookmarks and you'll find it aound the top of the list. Too bad about your friend. It's important to be ready on the inside before starting this life-change, that's for sure!! I'm a stay-at-home-mom of 5 and I totally understand the difficulties of summer!! Have fun reading old posts and going through the files. This is a great group of people!! I look forward to hearing more from you!! ~~ intro Hi,Just signed up in this group. I'm looking for some WW support. My WW buddy has quit on me and worse yet she's slyly trying to sabotage me. I'm going to have to have a talk with her if this continues. I don't mind that she has quit. She just wasn't ready.I'm a stay at home mom of 2 and I'm finding the non scheduled summer to be a challenge with staying on plan. Also I saw on the Yahoo web site quite a few PalmPilot mentions. I have just been thinking of getting one to keep everyone's schedules, phone numbers, addresses and any list or notes I need in one spot. I went to the PalmPilot web site and I have no idea what I'm looking for exactly. Has there been any dicussion about this? If it could help me journal and count points too. WOW that would be the tool for me.Regards,Lynne

Guest guest Report post Posted November 11, 2001 I forgot to say that I spent the morning comparing my Dr. Atkins Basic 3 and Blood sugar ingredients to that of the alpha lipoic acid site that was mentioned. I thought at first oh great I need to be taking that, only to check my blood sugar supplement formula and it's in there. I am just starting to take these again after being off of them for a while. I also take extra chromium, and CoQ10 and want to start the essential oils because I don't seem to get enough fish.

Guest guest Report post Posted January 2, 2002 --- Hi ! Welcome!!!! I have been diabetic for 9 years. Am currently on Actos 45mg and glyburide 20 mg. I learned about the low carb from the diabetes groups and it has been a Godsend. It works. The people here know of what they speak! It helps lower the blood sugar and the weight.
