What kind of friend would I be if I let Robin wallow in the holiday fat

alone? I will join the group that is starting back on January 1. I don't

want to set myself up for failure and with my birthday/New Year's Eve right

around the holiday corner, I know my limits.

I was not as good as I should have been, but I was also not as bad as I

could have been. All in all, I didn't gain as much as I thought I might

have.

They are wonderful doughnuts...others may have other preferences, but I

prefer the original glazed variety.

They are different from most dougnut shops because they have special signs,

and when they have these fresh, hot doughnuts coming out, they turn this

" Hot Doughnuts Now " sign on. I'm not sure about other areas, but the two in

our immediate area will give you a " free sample " when you come in...it

reminds me of a line from " The Old Dope Peddler " by Tom Lehrer:

He gives the kids free samples

Because he knows full well

That todays young, innocent faces

Will be tomorrows clientele.

I strongly suggest that if you haven't tried them !!DON'T!! - you will find

then hard to resist. If you don't try them, you won't know what your

missing.

I don't worry about getting bombed - I'm usually bombed anyway.

Jean's my friend. LOL!! I have to agree - the reason I'm waiting until

January 2 is that I will fail if I do it before that. For several reasons,

but also because I have strept throat and I feel sorry for myself. LOL!!

<< Krispy Kreme's are melt-in-your-mouth doughnut's. I won't

go into

> much more detail for fear of sending someone on a trip to

the nearest

> Krispy Kreme location :)

As delicious as KKs are, I happen to be lucky because I'm

impatient and lazy as well. The KK just opened in Rochester

and right now the wait for the drive through is about 30

minutes and the wait inside is even more. They actually have

a heated tent outside the store for people to wait until

there is room in the store. As far as I'm concerned, no

donut is worth 30 minutes of my time in line plus the awful

symptoms I would have from the celiac disease afterwards. :)

Now, if there wasn't a wait, that might be another story.

Don't feel alone I have been on and off in October for a couple weeks (my birthday and anniversary) ,November (sick with some stupid virus) ,and December (celebration of Christmas and not one but two childrens birthdays the 23rd and the 24th).

I feel like a total bloated porkette busting all out of my one pair of jeans. I have donated all my bigger clothes to charities. So there is no option to stay off Atkins because I will have no clothes to wear if I keep this up.

So starting January 1st this List SLUG is gonna get totally on track and be good so she can get down to a more acceptable size (to me) for summer.

Anyway please keep trying with the rest of us! We are all trying together!

I keep starting over and falling down over and over again. I guess what I need to do is have you and the rest of the list keep me accountible.
