All Right, Gang . . . The Party's Over!

Okay General,

I have to report that I did pretty good over the holidays. With two dinners to

attend, the worst thing I ate was 1

piece of caramel popcorn. I did probably overindulge in the ham though since

that was about all I could eat. I had

some raw veggies, cauliflower, celery stick, radish, cucumber slice with a bit

of ranch dip with the ham on

Christmas eve and green beans and a dill pickle slice with the ham on Christmas

day.

I maintained my weight only that's why I think I overdid the ham. Ate lots of

it.

Anyway, I'm reporting for a new start and determined to lose, lose, lose in the

coming year. I'm not waiting until

after the New Year, I'm starting to watch myself more carefully today, because

something I ate almost threw me out

of ketosis (back down to " small " color last evening.

Just finished making my shopping list and on my way to the market. Spent Christmas at my Mom's and she did terrible things to me!!! All of my favorites that I grew up with, including a marvelous, moist fruitcake. I still feel ill. Well, I deserve to feel this bad.

I didn't bring home any leftovers, and DH & son have promised to finish off everything in the house that that might tempt me. STRICT induction starting Wednesday (to give me time to get prepared), but as LC as possible till them.

Yes Sir Ma'am!

Honorable General SIR!

Huggy Bear reporting in, and will continue to make each day better. I must

say I did quite well - not quite as good as last year, but too many carbs,

just the same.

So, count me in! And already I'm hearing people talking about making that a

New Year's resolution...I say, fellow soldiers, do not wait for the New

Years! Do it! Do it now!!

Huggy Bear

I got a sweater for Christmas...I wanted a screamer or a moaner.

Dear General Terry:

I got your after Christmas letter and it is well timed. At this time I

have a 12 Lb. turkey roasting in the oven. When it is done I will make

a double batch of Atkins rolls. I have taken the bacon out of the

fridge, and am awaiting further instructions on how to proceed.

Thanks Terry, this is just what I need somebody who will make me do

what I know that I need to do.

I keep starting over and falling down over and over again. I guess

what I need to do is have you and the rest of the list keep me

accountible.

What I am going to do is start posting reports on how I am doing.

That will help me say no when I get tempted to eat something I don't

need.

Robin,

Put down the Krispy Kreme and back slowly away! Need us to come over and do

an intervention?

Well, Krispy Kremes don't seem to be my problem anymore (I probably finally

burned myself out on them), but bread certainly DOES seem to be my problem.

I'm workin' on it, and by Jan 2 plan to be totally on induction, so look out

world.

I have to say that yesterday, I went past Krispy Kreme three times and I was

not tempted to stop even once because *I* have character!

The fact that they were closed was also helpful...

It could be worse - they could be right at the end of my street instead of

almost 2 miles away. Tim Horton is a lousy substitute.

What kind of friend would I be if I let Robin wallow in the holiday fat

alone? I will join the group that is starting back on January 1. I don't

want to set myself up for failure and with my birthday/New Year's Eve right

around the holiday corner, I know my limits.

I was not as good as I should have been, but I was also not as bad as I

could have been. All in all, I didn't gain as much as I thought I might

have.
