As a general rule of thumb, most professional journals are not interested in

publishing unreferenced articles and they are definitely not interested in

publishing email dialogue exchanges. While I will be willing to edit the

email exchanges for our purposes, it should be pointed out that even

newspapers are usually unwilling to publish them as email exchanges, since

this promotes the internet. One might be able to get a very short article

published in the opinion section of the newspaper, but this usually requires

an article less than 500 words and even shorter if possible. The realities

of the situation is that print matter does not wish to promote cyberspace,

because it does not promote printed matter useage.

I have been encouraged by several people to submit my research for the

master thesis and the doctoral thesis for publication, but I am unwilling to

spend the many hours of work required to reformat the thesis for journal or

magazine publication. ly, it usually doesn't pay.

I am not interested in wasting my time just for the hell of it.

If any of you have ever written a book for publication, you know what I

mean.

I mentioned last week about doing a professional article, summary, body,

references,and so on. Did you miss that post?

We are not suggesting to paste in a bunch of babble off a mailing list Harry,

give us some credit *grin*.

Yes, we know what is involved to do a professional article. There are plenty of

professionals on list here with plenty of article writing under their belts.

If you don't want to do it, that is fine. I could see us all just pitching in

and formulating a professionally edited article, maybe 3 to 4 pages, and then

circling it to various diabetes related organizations and publications.

At least that is what I had in mind.
