Re: adrenal support

What are your symptoms of Hyper? When first went on adrenal supplement I

got a 'kick' ...... With the adrenals having the help of the supplement

it can really improve the way that you feel... at that point it may be

that you need less Armour, so that could make you feel a bit hyper....

I would get to a DR or Smokies labs and run some tests. Being hypo can have the

same effects as adrenal issues.

Hi Lynda! I am so glad to see all the great support you are getting

from folks here.

One comment I have concerning you stopping the Armour----your basal

temps point to you being hypo, not hyper, in spite of the " hyper-

like " symptoms you are having. So stopping your Armour might only

serve to allow other problems to take hold even more, besides

worsening your hypo!! You stated the weeping has increased---that

could be a direct result of stopping that thyroid support, which

ALSO makes female issue even worse!! Everthing works together.

And like Carol surmissed, you could be having female hormonal issues

on top of your thyroid issues!!

taking the cortef.

if I do get to sleep I wake in the middle of the night and can not

get back to sleep again, mood swings, generally weepy. These are

all symptoms of hyper according to the thyroidabout.com site.

Oh, I am sure of that! I am almost menopausal, 7 months since last period.

I know of people who have had great results with progesterone cream but it does

nothing for me, in fact it probably screws up the hormonal thing even more.

Lynda, consider splitting your Armour into at least two doses a day

instead of all of it once a day like that. You are giving your body

the T3 all at once, which is short-acting. Dividing the dose gives

your body the T3 more spread out. And doing the tab sublingually

puts it directly into your bloodstream and bypasses the acids of the

stomach and the processing of your liver.

Also, add selenium and L-tyrosine to your supplements. Both help

with conversion of T4 to T3, besides absorption (and the Cortef

helps, too)

Thanks. I do take selenium, I have also tried L-tyrosine but it raised my

blood pressure and caused a burst blood vessel in my eye so I stopped taking it.

I have just realised that one of the symptoms that has returned - and always

does seem to return when my thyroid is not right - is excess stomach acid and

heartburn.

The last few nights I have had acid come right up into my mouth.

Also, throughout the day I get these choking episodes. Feels like the back of

my throat - in the tonsil area - closes up and I choke on my saliva
