Hi Beverly,

I am sorry to hear about your sister. The truth is though that you are

not her, you can make different decisions then she did. The genetic

factor is only a small part of this or any disease, you need to take

control and take it now. You need to start confessing some different

things as words have power and right now your words are slowly killing you.

I would say since depression is a big part of your day right now you

need to start with fish oil. It has many benefits and is great for mood

health, you can take more then recommended, its safe.ALso start

concentrating on your bowels, try some pro-biotics, use more then

recommended, also try some magnesium, it will relax you and let you

sleep better. Then if you still have enough money a good whole food

multi vitamin/mineral. Mineral are more important then vitamins since

your body needs them to utilize the vitamins.

Then as far as diet try and eat a diet that is low glycemic, no sugar,

white breads or rice, low on fruits. Having your blood sugar spike is

going to cause your moods to go really low. Anyway this is pretty basic

but a good starting place.

Hi Beverly and welcome.

Sorry to hear about your sister but just remember that, as you will see in

this forum, everyone's MS is different.

I have PPMS (diagnosed as benign MS in 1995). I've been on the Best Bet

Diet for a year and my MS (touch wood) has stabilised. So many symptoms

have got better or disappeared entirely. The only thing that refuses to

change is my walking (in-)ability but it's not so awful being in a

wheelchair - you get out of having to do all the crap things in life like

putting the garbage out/cleaning/making the bed, you can wear all your shoes

that you could never really walk in, you get special treatment (certainly

here in Spain) everywhere you go, and people think you are marvellous for

coping so well.

Try the BBD, it really is worth it.

Good luck.

Janet

So my question is, is there anyone

out there with PP & have you tried any nutritional approaches that

have helped?

So now, the withdrawal is REALLY kicking in and quite frankly, I feel dreadful. I have been coming off very slowly.

Hi ,

Welcome! Can you clarify what you mean by coming off very slowly? Are your reductions at 5%?The feelings of tears/anxiety/hopelessness are withdrawal, hold on to this thought, it will help you get through. You can do this, it is not easy but you can do it. I went through two paroxetine withdrawals.Best Wishes
