Jo,

It's funny that you should talk about the painting. That ids what I was doing when I was diagnosed. I never thought of the paint but every time I have tried to paint since then I have had a relapse. My dr. even told me that from now on if any painting was to be done in my house he wanted me out of it for at least 3 days. I hope this helps you have not gone over the edge but you might want to talk to your dr. about this.

Sounds like you have SAD. Try treatment with a florescent light box.

I feel the same way...nothing I do gets me going. And my boyfriend has less energy than me. I am hoping this will pass.

I agree that our energy and internal chemistry changes as the seasons change. One item that all of us in the North need to look at seriously is Vitamin D. The further North you are the more you need in supplimental form. Vit. D is synthesised by the body from natural sun light and is NOT stored in the body. The tablets are very small and very inexpensive. You can easily do some research on the internet to get an idea of how much you should take, and if you need to be careful in regard to other medications.

Vit. D is needed for many body functions, including healthy nerve function. I was having very serious troubles with my feet a few years ago and the Dr. said that if it got very bad they would need to go in to the end of my foot (just before the toes) and scrape the excess sheeth off the nerves that go into my toes. They also wanted me to get $500 insoles for my shoes.

I did some research and found that for good nerve health we need Vit. D, Vit. E, a full Vit. B. After only a few days of this, presto I can walk with no pain. This is particularly bad in the winter when the sun is south of the Equator.

If you are having energy problems look into some good vitamine / mineral suppliments. The only way you can get a high percentage of your RDA is if you grow your own garden and eat the food just after picking it.

Full spectrum lights are also very helpful for those of us up North.

I know I'm behind in my emails and you've probably had

a ton of answers, but I have to say " YES " anyway.

Whenever a low pressure system comes through with its

cooler temperatures and sometimes precipitation I hurt

more, have less energy, and have more pain (especially

migraines). My neighbors have even put that together

and check in on me more or bring me something cooked

for dinner. They will think of why I'm feeling crappy

before I do sometimes.

Hello SharonWhenever it's raining outside, I tend to sleep in.   I blame it on the fact that back when I lived in Canada, I was the only support person for the company and every time it rained, I had to go in because the power went out.   When I moved to Houston, I no longer had to go in when the power went out so I would intentionally try to go back to sleep whenever it was stormy and now I just sleep through bad weather, but the cats don't, they get real nervous when there's lightning and thunder.Regards,On Oct 22, 2006, at 6:48 PM, realitytv50 wrote:Does anyone else have a problem with energy when it is dreary and rainy out. LCL,

Great that the diet is working for you. I was

confident it would. Lots of good fiber is

probably the key. Getting the digestive tract

back on course is very important.

LCL,

Have you ever tried antiviral herbs for your herpes outbreaks? I'm not sure

if it would work or not but it might be worth a try. I carry a high viral

load because I have Epstein Barr virus and remain symptom free because I did

a lot of antivirals. I'm wondering if you stay on them for a while, if

maybe you could keep the herpes outbreaks at bay and keep your energy up.

Good ones to try are andrographis and ADP, which is Oregano in capsule form.

I used to take them often but now take them every once in a while, if I feel

like my energy level is dropping. I've never had herpes but if it works for

other viruses, who knows, maybe it will help you too! :)

LCL, Good news about the digestion!!! Over the years I have become so desensitized about talking about that kind of stuff; its natural and no big deal for me anymore! Glad you are finding some things that are helping you.. Do you have a date set with Dr Kolb?? I am trying to get moving along with finding a surgeon, money, time off etc... Its alot of planning, esp if you are travelling! I hear that Lysine is amazing! I haven't tried it yet, but will next time I come down with a virus. I hope you are feeling better.. L-lysine takes away canker sores in a couple of

days, so wonder what it would do for other herpes breakouts.

Beth,

I think it sounds like you are getting better.

I think my thyroid energy issues have to do with the fact I am on

thyroid meds. If I get too much, I am the energizer bunny and if I

get too little I am a sleepy girl. I must find a happy medium.

I think you sound like your getting better! I am so happy for you.

Beth,It's wonderful to hear you're doing so much better . . . Now you KNOW there's a pot of gold at the end of your rainbow! You might have thyroid issues . . . but, I'd suggest continuing with your program for a while longer before trying to figure out what may be left over. . . Just don't overdo it! . . . You could still have a flare if you do. I know you want to be 100% NOW! . . . You're making great progress! . . . Just tell your body "Thank You!" . . . and take care of it. . . Listen to what it tells you. . . rest when you need to rest! . . . You're well on your way!Hugs,Rogene

Lynn - thanks......I honestly feel like I am getting better. It has only been 2 months and don't get me wrong, I still have my "episodes" but they are not near as bad as they used to be adn not as close together. It was not all but 3 weeks ago I had a bad cold and I had never felt so darn dizzy. It scared me but after I got over it, I fell better now than I ever have. It is jsut hard for me to know what "normal" is anymore. When something chances even if it is for the better, it scares me cause I don't know what will happen.

Much Love,

Beth

- I have been explanted for 2 months. I got explanted Nov. 29th, 2007. I only had my implants for 8 months and never had the severe symptoms that most have had. I consider myself VERY lucky. I still have "episodes" but they are not near as bad and farther apart. I just noticed that my dizziness is completely gone right now (not to say it will not flare back up) but I have NEVER had it diappear totally since I had implants. So that is how I know I am healing.

I know Patty had her implants for only 8 months also and it took her 4 yrs so I try not to get to excited until 6 months or so passes without major symptoms. My digestion is still messed up but better with my supplements. My knees are still achy but not as bad as it has been and other than that, I feel pretty good these day. I do feel very blessed I am seeing improvements this soon. However, I still have myself prepared for "flare ups".

How are you doing????

Much Love,

Beth

I will keep you in my prayers Beth but i am so glad that you are

seeing the benefits to getting rid of those implants already. Im

sure you will comtinue to heal. Sounds like we had pretty much same

symptoms. I never had anything serious but the digetsive was and

still is horrible. I am starting to freak out a little over the

explant but i will get over myself and be so glad i did it once this

is all over.

- you will be glad you got rid of those. I never felt sad getting rid of them until just the past couple of weeks. I am not sad I got rid of them at all....just sad I now have a flat chest again. BUT - I do not and never will regret getting rid of those toxic things. I just need to work on my self-esteem issues as usual.

I hope you start seeing results of healing soon!!!! I will continue to pray for you as I do every other person on this forum.

Much Love,

Beth

Re: Energy Level

I will keep you in my prayers Beth but i am so glad that you are seeing the benefits to getting rid of those implants already. Im sure you will comtinue to heal. Sounds like we had pretty much same symptoms. I never had anything serious but the digetsive was and still is horrible. I am starting to freak out a little over the explant but i will get over myself and be so glad i did it once this is all over.Hugs, > >> > ok - I have noticed over the last week or so that my energy level > has > > skyrocket!!! ! Beth,

I hear you! Every little thing that happens to my body I totally

over analyze now - before I probably didn't even notice.

I am happy to hear you are doing so well.

Love, Lynn

Hi Beth,

I would not look at it as having a self esteem problem. If you did

you would have chosen the implants over your health. Everyone has at

least one thing about themselves that they wish they could change.

You are no diffrent then any other woman here. We thought they were

a safe way to fix an are that we were not happy with. Who knew :).

There is never anything wrong with wanting to improve yourself. It

took a lot of courage to make the decision to get them removed and

in my opinion that makes your a very strong person.

,

I had my implants for 6 months and it's been 2.5 years since

explant. Many of my symptoms improved after about 6 months,

although 2.5 years later I still struggle with brain fog. My

digestion is good, thankfully, and the joint swelling is limited to

just my thumbs now, so that's an improvement, too.
