Guest guest
There is this paragraph but it applies to the initial diagnosis: In many cases, however, the onset of Hashimoto's and elevation of antibodies will be accompanied by a variety of symptoms, including fatigue, weight changes, depression, hair loss, muscle/joint aches and pains, infertility, and recurrent miscarriages, among others. Many conventional endocrinologists will not, however, treat Hashimoto's disease if the thyroid function tests (i.e., TSH, T4, T3) are in the normal range, despite these symptoms. but also this paragraph: There are, however, some endocrinologists, as well as holistic MDs, osteopaths and other practitioners, who believe that Hashimoto's disease -- as confirmed by the presence of thyroid antibodies -- along with symptoms, are enough to warrant treatment with small amounts of thyroid hormone. This article deal more with the initial diagnosis than once you are diagnosed. > someone else read this article also please. Guest guest
Kathy, Trust me this one is going to be asked when I walk in the door what his views are on keeping someone on thyroid medication who has hashi's. If he doesn't believe in it I'm walking right back out. Toni List Owner of: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GDHWS/ This is for guide dog handlers with residual vision. And http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ToniAtGDB/ This mailing list is to share my experiences in getting my next guide dog.
