I was as sick as Gretchen, maybe even worse, and it took me a long time to see improvements. I felt worse after explant, and I was very discouraged, too. I don't think I was quite as freaked as she has been, probably because I am older, and also I had been terribly sick for a whole year, so I was pretty used to it. But it is possible to feel worse after surgery(I did). Everyone's body is different. Kolb's visit out to give her some hope-- hope goes a long way in helping us to heal. That's why this group is so precious.

I thought this way at first about Gretchen as well, but I am now realizing that she really is having major problems and it isn't just about fear. I certainly wouldn't want to keep putting myself through countless surgeries just because. I think that the ps really screwed something up...if anyone can figure it out it'll be Kolb. I too think she is in wonderful hands. We all need to pray for her and just be there for her. I feel bad because I wrote a while back complaining about her "whining" thinking she just hadn't given it enough time. I am getting explanted in a few weeks and it was scaring me....now I feel terrible for it. Hopefully things will get better for her.

Yes, Dr. Kolb will get to the truth. Let's just keep her in our prayer's this man infected her and I can only pray Dr. Kolb, will get the infection out by using the drains and proper capsule removal........ Poor Gretchen what a nightmare these implants have turned out to be..... Another bright young girl sick and hurt from implants..... When will this ever stop?

Me, too, I felt worse after explant. Actually I had the flu last

week and it flared up my symptoms, so I'm looking forward to the

weekend so I can relax a little.

Dearest Sis:

I too got so much sicker after explant, but if I had left the ruptured implants in my body, we know that I would have died. We are all so different, because many women here in my group got better soon after explant. Perhaps, having a good plastic surgeon clean us out properly is the answer.
