Guest guest Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke to my cardiologist's office today. I go there due to a problem with high lipids and do not have heart problems. They told me to quit the Vioxx and he called in a prescription to the pharmacy for Bextra. I think I tried it once and it was not as good as the Vioxx but I will try again. I also put in a call to my rhuemy and I am waiting to hear from him as well. I would like several opinions but right now I don't think I am going to take the Vioxx. Janet
Guest guest Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Well, the cardiologist said to stop the vioxx and now when I got home there was a message on my answering machine from my rheumy that he didn't think I should be concerned about the Vioxx but next time I see him he would discuss taking a baby aspirin every day. I don't think any of them know what they are talking about. I think I am going to try Bextra but if it does not help like the Vioxx then I will take the Vioxx several times a week but maybe not every day.
