You're not alone! I have cried many times out of total frustration! I don't even

have a DX yet. Not knowing what is causing my pain drives me bananas. Hopefully

my neurologist will soon find the answer. I have to go get a radiograph of my

neck. Hopefully that will show the cause. And treatment to get out of pain.

hi lotacats is your cats all the pets you have rite now i love my pets i have so

menny me and my wife have 4 horses 15 cats 3 dogs 2 checken houses one with big

checkens i with bantem checkens thay are little checkens all of are dogs and

cats are fixed and have there shots and we are on first name bases with the vet

we are one of hes best customers wheh one of are pets get sick thay go to the

vet just likew we would take take a kid to the doc are pets are are kids

I cried out last night just trying to turn over in bed....it felt like every

bone in my hip/pelvic area was broken....and man but it hurt. I hardly ever cry

outloud or yell if I can help it but it's been getting pretty bad with the lower

back area. I guess it can't help but go downhill for the rest of my life now.

hi lotacats it took allmost 3 years to find out what was rong with me and the

one good thing i allmost never went with out a pain pill my right leg from the

knee down would tern colers and swellup real big the docs knew i had a problem

thay just didnot know what was rong so thay had no problem giveing me pain pills

i donot know what i would have did with out them i never thout i would have to

depend on a pill i hert so bad i donot thank i could handle the pain ir i dont

take a pain pill i cant walk i am so wably i fall down i seen somenny docs it

was allmost unreel i would tell the docs rite out i donot want nothing for pain

i just want to find out why i hert i would take my shoe and sock off and pull my

pants leg up and say why dose my leg swellup so big and tern colers after thay

would watch my leg thay would say you have a problem we just donot know what is

rong and most of the docs would get there script pad and say what helps the most

i would tell

them that was 7 or 8 years ago and loraset 10 or vicadons would help i cant say

that now i got to big a tolerance belt up after i got diecnosed with rsd i could

not find a doc to treat me most docs donot know what rsd is i finely found a

pain managment that knew how to treat rsd what works on onr rsd person will not

work on the next rsd is alot like what lotacats was so i know what she is going

I really prefer cloudy days. I feel better on rainy, humid, cloudy days. When

It gets dark around 7 PM. Earlier than the mainland. Yes lots of forrest. In

fact I live in a rain forrest. It does rain here a lot so if rainy days make you

ache more Hawaii probably wouldn't be a good place for you to live. Lots of

humidity too.

 

But like i said I don't miss winter time. When it snows during the winter on the

mainland Hawaii gets rain. If anyone is interested I can send some pics to your

email just let me know.

Same here Donnie. It was good that I found this group of great people. The sad

Coleen, not being alone is the key words to me. My family thinks I live in

constant depression therefore they won't communicate with me. My oldest

daughter and I used to have conversations that lasted for hours. Now she

won't even answer an email!! I have a 30 year old daughter that lives with

me that at times I'd rather she didn't. She usually complains about having

to help me do certain things. Like I got a heavy comforter stuck in the

washing machine & couldn't pull it out b/c of my should being in a huge

flare. There's always " comments " when any help is needed. And they talk

about me being in a depression!?!? Soft hugs to all, Nae

Family members get weird mostly because they feel " powerless " .  They can't fix

it or make it better and so get very frustrated.  Depression is very difficult

for families because they can't really help...they try and are very clumsy and

use such terms as " snap out of it " ....like it's possible we can.  

Or the pain they cannot " fix " ...that will never get better.  Again they feel

powerless and in their frustration lash out in weird ways like it's our fault or

our decision to make.  Their experience with pain always has light at the end of

tunnel....we don't have that and so can't relate.  

Family counceling is really important here.  Pain and depression are very

linked.  We...the painers are powerless to make them happy....they are powerless

to make us happy....and so it goes.  It's that word... " Powerless " .

Us painers need to make realistic goals of ourselves to help move forward which

helps situational depression a lot and families need to feel empowered when they

help take part in it and not make unrealistic expectations of the painer and we

need to make realistic expectations of the powerless family member.

A good councelor can help with the reality and help empower both.

Donnie,

You are very right about that, but sometimes when people do not understand

something they become ignorant and mean and very selfish.

We are the one with the pain not are families, we have to be strong for

ourselves because they are not going to come around. Anytime sooner because they

don't want to understand

Maybe you need to let her read or messages, that might help her?????

How long have you been married?

Did you have chronic pain when you married her? Or it happened later?

what you have said in the past about your wife it sounds like she does not

understand what you are going threw.

Donnie how old are you? Reason I am asking are you willing to start all over?

You are right having a mate. That understands and loves you makes life a lot

better happiness is something we all deserves.

You do what you think you must if you are that miserable where you are at then
