My vet just started using a device that airshoots the vaccine under the skin. I'm not sure what it is called. There's no needle and it makes a loud pop that scares some kitties. However, it is supposed to prevent these tumors and cancers at the vaccination sites. The day took one of the cats in he asked if I wanted to participate in an experiment. He just meant that my cat was the first cat he used it on in his office. Andy >>>Andy, According to my vet, there is no data to support which vaccine is responsible .... so it could be any of them. It is believed that the 'fillers' in the vaccine are likely the culprit (metals that serve to sort of transport the [dead] virus into the system). The airshoot method has become the next more desirable method. It will not use these other 'fillers' and therefore hopefully not put the animal at risk for aquiring/developing tumors. Punky made it through the night just fine, but it is apparent that she is in pain today. She is staying in her bed...not moving more than she has to. She will be pretty sore for about three days, and her stitches should be absorbed by two weeks. It is believed by some [many] that cats communicate through and receive communicatin from others through mental telepathy and therefore it is wise to hold loving and caring images in your mind to relay to her that she is safe. So we have been doing that. I will be glad when the weekend is past ... knowing that she will be feeling a lot better by then. Kelley Run2Liv Quote
