Sorry to tell you but becuase of the way nuts are processed ans

stored, they are not only too high in carbs, but they also can have

mycotoxins (from mold) on them, which makes them doubly bad for

candida sufferers. Yes you can have nuts again, once you have

progressed far enough on the diet, but until then, you would do better

not to have them at all right now. If you insist on having nuts,

which is NOT recommended, at leat make sure to buy raw nuts and soak

them first. See the file names " Soaking & Fermenting Grains, Nuts &

Legumes " for more information.

Hi Doug,

Unfortunately, if you live in the US, since ALL almonds now sold in

the US are being either irradiated or pasturized, I would stay away

from them all together. Which makes me sad, cuz I used to love them. :(

Welcome to our group! What is your name please? I'm glad other

members have been able to help you; it helps me out a lot! :)

is referring to our Group's Files (left menu), in case you missed

it.

All of your symptoms are very common for candida sufferers. Arthritic

pain is caused by the high numbers of candida toxins (over 79 different

kinds) that are released into the system - and they will move around

the body from one area to another, or in more than one area at the same

time. The pains on your right are more than likely caused by an

overload of toxins being handled by your liver.

The only way to cure candida is to build up your immune system so it

becomes strong enough to " make " candida change back into the nice

friendly organism it is supposed to be in the body. So you can't go

wrong on this program.

==>It isn't just about keeping your carb count down; it's about

the " kind of carbs " consumed. Each type of carb must be low in carbs

and sugars in and of itself, and nuts are high in carbs. High carb

foods and sugars feed candida.

The amount of proteins fats and carbs per day that is okay is

calculated according to your height - see " C) Candida Diet " Folder

for " How to Calculate Your Ratios " .

Dr. G doesn't approve of any diet other than the diet. With

that said, many people are on other diets.

Hi-

If it will help to identify what 'type' of diet the

diet is, it is based on the low allergy diet -

and if I understand correctly, it's the diet the

American Academy of Obstetrics recommends pregnant

women w/a family history of allergies use, and the AAP

recommends w/children with a family history of food

allergies ... but you never hear of it for some

reason. I could also be wrong on the source but it is

a major mainstream medical organization that put those

allergy regulations in place decades ago.

Also, the diet is based on a modified The Zone

diet as far as choosing proportions of protein to

carbs and sugar. I think it's the maintenance part of

the Zone diet - closest to that.

Hi Angie -

He had been asked before about that diet, and he did

not feel that such a diet was necessary at all. He

believes that the low allergy low carb high protein no

sugar combos are sufficient.

Unusual cholesterol findings have been mentioned by Dr

G. I don't remember the reason, if the reason is even

known. But I suspect it's a subtle marker for immune

dysregulation contributing to metabolic stuff. It's

not really a big deal, I wouldn't be very concerned -

just know that it is not uncommon in . Maybe

someone has a link to some research?

The diet thing is making a lot of sense. If you eat the wrong kinds of foods, whatever this is, pretty much reacts right away? It sounds like you are doing all the right things. For the first time in two years I'm starting to feel hopeful.

Thank you again.

Oh, I also think the people here are awesome. My son knows what I am referring to by me simply saying I am going to go check in on my peeps.....lol From everything I have read, it would seem Myrtle Maui has a good handle on this aspect as well. I was hoping she would chime in too. Z, could you post your anti-parasitic from healthwalk again. I have heard so many good things about it, but I haven't used it myself. I wanted to use it for my maintainence.

To see results from your intestinal cleanses, if you go to the colonix site, you will get the idea. Both colonix and the happy tummy yielded those results for me. Its kinda gross, but as a wise Penny poster says "better out than in". I started my program with ReNew Life and it was a gentle slide in to the scene. There really is no "specific" time frame for the consecutive or succession of your cleanses. Start with your intestinals first. I started my yeast cleanse very early, I think 2 weeks after I started my intestinal. I am not sure that was in retrospect a good idea and what could have been why I was herxing so bad. Like I said, I was fighting mad. I also started the parasite cleanse as well at the same time. I rotated as well over the months. Even though I may not of been doing all three at the same time, (which I have), I was always supplementing with antiparasitic supplements,

and teas. The order that was passed down to me was intestinal, yeast, and then parasitic. I tailored this advice to fit my situation. My areas I wanted covered were Intestinal, Yeast, Parasitic, Detox, and building back up with suppplementation (Dr. Hildy). My liver has taken a hard assault in this past year, and I am fortunate it hasn't failed me yet. Kidney's too. I am currently working on those too.

To support what I said earlier, about malabsorption and decreased nutritional status, I would like to tell you about the horizontal ridges on my nails. All of them have them, they have grown out to just past half way. Knowing how fast my nails grow, this ridge correlates with the time frame from Dec to Feb.

On this road, each of you will learn to tailor what you do in accordance with your own body's needs.

Re: Cleanses ... anyone? - Frito

Frito! Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to post a reply. Truth be known, I was hoping you would as I value your opinion and expertise as I do many others on this list! You guys are simply AWESOME!!! :) Ok...1. Colonix OR2. Happy Tummy3. CandaGone4. Parasite CleanseShould I do the cleanses in that order so that the Parasite cleanse is more effective when it comes time to do it? ly, when you posted the link to that article the other day, I FREAKED after I read it. 'Cause those little "lint balls" were exactly what I saw when we were at the end of this. Including the red and blue fibers. There weren't that many of them, but it only takes ONE from what I read. At the time when I found them on me, I truly thought it was the mites dying off... But now I know that's not the case. I don't think they're gone... maybe externally.. ..and IF they're not,

then I need to make sure that they are GONE for good! You are such a blessing to us all Frito! Thanks & Many Many Hugs!TrlyBlestP.S. I know it's been a long rough road for you and you've been in my prayers constantly. I am so glad to know that you are doing much better! >> In December, when I was VERY ill, a friend of mine and a patient of a morg's physician gave me some advice. I can only pass on what he told me. The very first thing in the way of cleansing is to do an intestinal cleanse and a yeast cleanse. There are combo products, but I chose to do seperate ones. I was told then and have since confirmed that info, if you cannot clean out the colon and the yeast in your

intestines, nothing you put in will be absorbed properly do perform it's intended function. Simply because it cannot perfuse through all the junk we have acquired through the years and out to our body where it should take effect. (I also feel this may have a profound influence on the med's we may ingest) To do any cleanse, it takes time to whittle away all those years of junk. I have found only two intestinal cleanses worth their weight. Unfortunately, they are expensive, but they work wonderfully. I wish had had just gone ahead and> invested in it, in the end it would have been less expensive and the results, I got signifigant results within a relatively short time as compared to the others I had been doing for months. That being said, Colonix and Happy Tummy. In that order. I actually do both. I had candida in the intestine. Believe

me, I had it and I saw it. The most powerful thing I have ever done is 8 oz. of water, 2 table spoons of salt, and probably about a fouth of a cup of lemon concentrate. I accidently jerked and dumped a whole bunch in. The reaction of my stomach was immediate. I was very nauseous, ill for about 4 hours. I laid down. When I woke up, I went to the restroom and it wasn't pleasant, so I'll spare you TMI. The results were spores and hyphae in the toilet...... yeee-uk. After that incident, my headache and nausea passed. I have since been doing a candida cleanse called CandaGone and recently have stopped. It took me seven months to> get where I am now. I think I'm good in the yeast department.> After seeing results from the intestinal and yeast cleanse, I started a parasite cleanse. I have not stopped with that yet. Z had

incredible results with one. It is also pricey, but the things I hear about it are all good. I have tried others and am currently on Dr. Hildy's protocol. I am also improving. Mel, I think from the sounds of it has a recipe for Liver and gallstone cleanse in which I am eventually going to do after what I am doing now. For other liver and kidney detox issues, exposures to all the pesticides and med's, teas are a wonderful way to detox. You can also find these in broad category teas or single teas combined. My protocol combines single teas, plus I have my own, and a couple of combo ones as well..> Ingredients you want to look for: This depends on what is really going on with you. Its easy to give a broad explanation but in doing so some things, just don't work for all. What has worked for you in the past? Give me a short while and I

will cut and paste some more info on ingredients.> Cleansing is not a quick fix, but the investment in yourself will help you in this battle and help keep those whom have beat this crap farther away from having to deal with it again. I have made a lifetime commitment to interval cleansing. I don't ever want to be in the dark place I was at in December. XXOO........ Frito>

If you go to the main page and pull up , the diet info is in

those files.  It may also be posted on the website www.neuroimmunedr.com, or

.net - sometimes I have to hunt for it.  It's easier to find in the files.

There are other papers to read there too if you haven't already.

What is the diet?!!!

Can someone help me to learn the DOs and DON " Ts of the diet?!!!

I appreciate all your info.

Hi ,

I hate to be the one to tell you, but you'll never heal your candida

problem without eating meat and eggs. I know how it is to hear those

words because I was in your position just a few short months ago. I

was a vegetarian for 16 years and thought that there was no way I would

ever change. It took a lot of soul searching and a lot of reading on

Bee's site and elsewhere to finally come to the realization that I had

to let that go. I was just making myself sicker and sicker and I had

to do something. I think it was one of the hardest things I ever did.

Most people find staying away from sugar the hardest, but for me it was

the eating meat and eggs part. I had such a strong aversion. It's

getting much better now and when I start getting queazy I just keep

telling myself that this is helping me.

People become vegetarians for a lot of reasons, so I don't pretend to

know yours. But my greatest advice is to try your best to start eating

meat and eggs, even if it means having a friend cook it for you in the

beginning. I started out this diet by eating fish twice a day. I did

that for a month before I could even consider any other kind of meat.

I think it was another few weeks before I finally got up the courage to

try Bee's egg drink. Now, it's the only way I can eat eggs! Both the

taste and smell of cooked eggs still make my stomach go flippety-flop!

LOL!

Anyway, I just thought I would share some of my story with you and

really encourage you try meat. Believe me, I know how hard it is, but

the foods you are using to get protein are just making your candida

worse, including the acid reflux.

Good luck!
