I, too was influenced by " Emergency " ..

And I have perfected the " Gage Maneuver " (the caps on the bristojets)

Almost like a natural thing!!

Thanks for the info, it has not been on in San yet, but was in

Houston and Austin.....

51 moved from an American LaFrance to a Ward LaJunk. Must be the only place that

I remember when I first watched Emergency I thought all fire trucks had no

roofs. Cause the ones that LA had back then did not at least in the pilot

episode they didn't anyway

What about the " squirt " .

Isn't the sequence

1. Flip

2. Screw

3. Squirt

Items 1, 2, & 3 must be done in order or no credit is given.

Extra points are awarded for distance and style on both the flip and squirt.

I understand some places have an accuracy requirement for these also.

Actually, the original pumper at Station 51 was a Crown Fire Coach. I don't believe the company is in operation anymore, but when they were they were pretty much only found on the West Coast (majority in California).

That was the ACLS Standard of Care back then on all codes, first two drugs: 1 amp epi 1:10,000 and 1 amp Bicarb if downtime is 5 min or less, 2 amps if downtime longer.

the show is 27 years old I find them doing stuff that we still don't and a lot of stuff we do that they never imagined.
