Amy, I think this is a beautiful thought, thanks, " I was made to

beauty of the Truth. "

Any, You make so many excellent points with your post, it's hard to choose what to comment on.nne on said that the problem was never Hitler, the KKK, etc... but that people showed up and joined in the horror.A miracle will occur when the day comes when there's a KKK rally and no one shows up.It's one thing to "judge" with egotistical intent, and another to attempt to protect the innocent.I wouldn't have shown up in support of Hitler, an abusive spouse, or any other type of violence. It's unfortunate that not all can see truth and looks for easy justifications to continue violent acts on the innocent. Especially those who are children and can't speak up for themselves. It's not easy to have the courage to disagree, but oh so necessary. This will be a wonderful world when no one agrees to war, abuse, violence, or mutilation. I hope it happens some day. until then, I will continue to speak up for those who cannot.I've passed over twice, and I experienced mush the same as you describe. The bottom line is that God/Buddha/The Goddess/Allah or whatever deity you wish to input here could care less about silly rituals, but mostly what is in your heart. Thank you for a beautiful heart felt post!An Awakening has to happen in order to See. I never meant for this thread to turn into a religious debate ....

It was just a question ....well I just hope no one is getting offended or tired of what keeps getting posted

Yes I AM thankful for your answers ...I'm just not sure if this is the turn that Reggie wants on her site ...and I could be wrong ...I know Reggie is very open to everything. I'm just saying my question was about Circumcision and that I didn't mean for it to become religious ...not that I have a problem with that ...

LOL I love having you around!

but you're right I wonder why women think it's ok to mutilate their

son but don't think it's the same ridiculous thing to suggest female

genital mutilation. It's really disgusting and I can NOT imagine how

any woman would let her son endure that pain. Just goes to show how

vain people are. I figure if I have a son and he wants to have

himself circ'd as an adult it's up to him. Just like if my daughter

(heaven forbid) wanted to have breast implants or whatever.

That is nice advice Klara. Problem is how do we know what is the

right thing to give in on and the other to fight for? I guess deep

down we do know?

, you know how I feel about circ and I am really happy to hear

the voices of other strong women. If all the posting helped you to

realize you need to tell THAT you don't want to lob off part of your

son's penis then I'm thrilled.

:)

Thanks! :)Or people who pierce their children's ears. Makes me shudder.Of course, there is so much misinformation, had I been pregnant in a different era, I'd probably robotically gone with the flow. I don't think people actually THINK about what actually happens to their son when circumcised. It's not like doctors offer for you to view a film of the procedure so you can think on it. t the opposite. You should shut up and do what you're told which is why I chose to have my son at home. It was the best decision I ever made. Most of mainstream society is asleep it seems. The masses don't question. It's hard for me to fathom just how much. For whatever reason, circumcision hurts. It's extremely painful. Not just the slicing off of a large piece of skin with no anesthetic, but the tearing of the membrane from the glans. So horrific, I can't believe anyone would consider it.I like your idea to allow a man to decide for himself. There is now a huge movement of men angry that they've been mutilated and attempting to reconstruct the foreskin. It can be done, though some have better results than others and it take s long time and isn't easy.Every male should have the right to go unmutilated and decide for himself as an adult.Perhaps when an adult, he may choose to do so for religious reasons, but then it would be his choice...and it should be his choice, no one else's. Good point!LOL I love having you around!but you're right I wonder why women think it's ok to mutilate their son but don't think it's the same ridiculous thing to suggest female genital mutilation. I don't feel anyone is debating religion. I do feel that some may try to justify genital mutilation due to religious reasons. To me this is no different than the Muslim I recentlysaw in a video speaking on how to beat your wife "properly" so you don't commit religious error. ???Be it religion, or whatever reason, the issue for me is cutting much needed body parts off of infants who can't protest, not mutilating them for life, but also interfering with their sexual health, future, and health of the penisforever aside from it being inhumanely painful. In my opinion, it should be outlawed in this country and considered child abuse. Most people would never allow anyone to cut their child or cut off anything on an infant. Why in the world someone would anyone think it's ok to brutalize an infant for ANY reason or cut off body parts???That's insanity. Maybe like Reggie mentioned, people will be crazy enough to force children to get implants some day.  Circumcision not only has health and sexual repercussions, but also mental and emotional. There is a TON of info. on the damage circumcision does by simply googling the topic.   As for macrobiotics and circumcision, here is an interesting article talking about diet, violence, and hormones with circumcision:http://members.iimetro.com.au/~hubbca/hormones.htmAnother good article on how this mutilation became "the norm" in the US (To stop masturbation!):http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/1998/10/26feature.htmlAs for religion, if someone posted their so called "reasoning" based on religious texts for any unnatural or to justify any violent act or act of torture, I'd have the same reaction. It isn't about religion, it's about common sense and compassion. It's 2007. I cut my hair, my husband doesn't have concubines, sell our daughters and our son is beautifully intact, and I swear, I've told him about 100 times the last few days how glad I am we chose to allow him to be as his Creator made him... completely natural and as divine nature intended: with a foreskin.I never meant for this thread to turn into a religious debate ....  It was just a question ....well I just hope no one is getting offended or tired of what keeps getting posted Yes I AM thankful for your answers ...I'm just not sure if this is the turn that Reggie wants on her site ...and I could be wrong ...I know Reggie is very open to everything. I'm just saying my question was about Circumcision and that I didn't mean for it to become religious ...not that I have a problem with that ...

I don't think I mentioned "giving in." I said listen and respect - not easy, always easier to jump in and demand that I am right - and off we go on another round of battles, tension, horrible feelings and so unhealthy effects on the kids - I'm just saying what I wished I'd done - and yes we still have kids in the house, and yes we still battle, so I guess I'm saying what I need to also work on :>) As for final decisions - I wish I had those answers how to deal with it Klarapurpleveg wrote: That is nice advice Klara. Problem is how do we know what is the right thing to give in on and the other to fight for?
