Guest guest
To those of us on this list, it may be divine revelation or something : ) or we wouldn't be here. But I guess we are all entitled to our opinions. If the moderator's don't like them, surely they will boot us from the list. Andyman > > > > > > >Interesting response. Forget the connection to NHE. Guest guest
Personally, I think I am too stubborn to be enlightened by anyone at this point. I accept the BFL as written and of course I think that Bill is a God (at least the God of fitness). I'll listen to the other opinions regarding other programs, but I am not interested. I need to keep it simple and BFL is simple for me. I have not ever done anything exercise or nutrition-wise in my life that I have stuck to for this long. I don't feel like I am being deprived of anything so why change. Look at Sara, 12 weeks, 24 weeks, 36 weeks and you will see it is obvious what several challenges will do to your body. Look at what Cherly did in 12 weeks. There are countless others on this list and not on this list. I don't need any science to tell me that. I can see the results. Missouri is called the Show-Me State and Bill has shown me that BFL works. Andyman > Hi Lana: > > I appreciate your answers here and I asked the exact same questions as you > did. Guest guest
> I wonder if it would always be wise to eat 1 g per lb of body > weight? Let's say someone weighs 450 lbs and they have 200 lbs of > lean muscle mass. You are telling me they should eat 450 gms of > protein per day?? That sound like too much and is more than they > could process in 6 meals, right? In six meals, yes, too much. That's because the average person can't use more than 50g of protein per sitting, and thus the extra would be stored as bodyfat. So if one is eating 6x a day, then their daily protein limit is 300g. So, anyone weighing over 300 lbs. could simply make 300g of protein his personal ceiling. Of course as they get more fit, their weight will drop, and thus the protein grammage. Of course, a 450-lb. person *could* eat 450g of protein a day - if he was willing to eat 9x a day! But since 6x is far more practical, then 300g of protein per day will be the limit. BFL is easier for me and I am happy with the results. I am not closing myself off to further education. I am in a routine with BFL and don't feel like changing anything other than my workouts every 4 weeks and trying new foods and recipes. > What are you going to do when you plateau? I won't plateua. I've pretty much lost all the weight I am going to lose. I don't want to lose more than 4 more lbs. As long as I keep changing my routine and eating BFL, I won't plateau. I am now approaching the maintenance phase, but focusing on defining the abs and building the arms and chest. > > Missouri is called the Show-Me State and Bill has shown me > > that BFL works. > > It sure does - just not as well as a more scientifically based > program. Tell me, how much $$ are you spending on supplements a > month? Not sure what you mean by supplements or what that has to do with anything? The only thing I use is 1 or less Myoplex shake per day and an occasional Labrada bar and I don't consider those supplements. They are meals. BFL way of eating does not require the use of supplements. Andyman
Guest guest
Sounds like you've experienced great success, Andyman. Keep it up! However, let me just say here that if you simply want to read up on further health science, then NHE is a great textbook. Look at it that way. All the best, Andy > > < Personally, I think I am too stubborn to be enlightened by anyone > > at this point. > > > > > So stop being stubborn. > > No : ) > > > < I accept the BFL as written and of course I think that Bill > > is a God (at least the God of fitness).
