I'd like to know why women stand for this kind of crap. We have strip

bars, porno magazines, porno movies, web-porn, hooters, and lots of

sex on TV, prostitution. It seems like mostly women are involved in

this stuff and how often do you hear your average woman raising their

voices in protest.

As much as women want to be treated with dignity, (and let me be

clear, I think women SHOULD be treated with dignity) it is hard for

me to respect a women when they let the sex industry continue to

paint them like sluts without protest.

Protest? I think the world has always run on the basis of supply and

demand. If the demand dries up, those who make a living in these types

of jobs wouldn't have the opportunity. They would have to learn a real

profession and use whatever brains or braun they have to earn a buck. I

hardley think that the demand for women or men will dry up any time soon

seeing as the " profession of selling ones self has gone back to biblical

times.

The negative stereotype associated with Asperger Syndrome is only a

couple decades old and no Aspie or Aspie group has been able to stop

the bad painting that Aspies receive in the media and general

public. Still, there are Aspies who themselves perpetuate the

negative stereotype and have no problem whatsoever doing so.

The negative stereotyping that you mentioned regarding women is

centuries old and therefore, that much more ingrained in the minds of

the general public and the media. Is it any surprise that there are

women who themselves perpetuate the negative stereotype while others

do not feel able to stand up against the negative stereotype?

There are woman who fight the stereotype but it falls on deaf ears.

The characters probably weren't that well developed in the book because it was political satire, not a novel. What is interesting is how many stories grew out of a work that was a somewhat socialist criticism of the way things were.

I, for one, liked "Wicked" and the its sequel "Son of a Witch," better then the L. Baum books (I read them in preparation for Maguire books. And I was shocked that the movie, that draws from several, was so much better than the books.) The characters were much more believable and better developed. And did identify with the main characters plight in trying to fit into a world that didn't want to understand them... I guess what I mean is, why do women involve themselves inthat industry

poor, nor subjugated who choose that lifestyle. If they stopped it,

they could certainly cut into the uindustry's ability to perpetuate

tripe.

I would agree. Such pandering to the baser instincts has brought down many empires from the Romans, to dynasties around the world and countless smaller groups as well. It is just a symptom of the lack of moral values and strength that a society needs to remain strong and vibrant.

Benedict on Tuesday is to celebrate a midmorning Mass at St. 's to ring in the New Year. The Catholic Church celebrates Jan. 1 as its World Day of Peace.

But then also an article on a sort of Viagra for women. I won't post the article here because it is a bit graphic. They say it is to treat a medical condition, but who are they kidding? Viagra was supposed to be the same, but it is supposedly quite popular on the, shall we say "dating scene," as well.

Is there a good chance that video stores might have those Oz movies that came out before The Wizard of Oz? If not, how could I get a copy of those so I can watch them? Are you saying the first two were silent films?I picked up two more Oz books today at Barns and Noble by L. Baum. One is Rinkitink in Oz, and the other is The Emerald City of Oz. Do you know of anyway to get a hold of the producers of that new tv series Terminator: The Connor Chronicles about getting copies of each episode with any sex scenes, bikini scenes, or even simulated nude scenes edited out? I tried googling and sent an e-mail to one and posted on a moderated message board of another, but haven't gotten responses. I was hoping someone here might have better luck than I did. I've heard similar things from time to time. There was a hoax a while back about a Russian deep drilling rig hitting a pocket in the earth that was supposed to be Hell. I've also heard many people describe where they live or other places as Hell.

I don't think Hell has a location in the material world any more than Heaven does. Hell is described as being in the ground simply because people relate things in the ground with being scary or bad, things like caves for example.

I can't remember the e-mail address to the Christian group for aspies, and I had a question about Hell I wanted to ask. I'll ask it here; and if someone's able to answer, then that's good. If not, I'll wait until I get another e-mail from that group, so I can ask it there. I remember back in the late 80's when either Edgar Wisenant or someone else was claiming they knew where Hell was and could even give a geographic location. I'm wondering what would happen if they were to investigate this area and they did indeed find fire there what would happen if they were to take a giant fire hose and a team of firefighters and try to put the fire out. Up until that guy said something about where Hell was, I thought maybe Hell was inside the sun; and if they were to successfully put that out, it'd be very harmful to the people on Earth. The reason I thought that is because there's a Latin word or something called heli or helio that means sun; and since Hell and helio start with the same three letters, I figured that Hell was inside the sun. Never read it, unfortunately. But I will say this: The parable in

Wizard of Oz where the Wizard gives a heat to the Tin Man tells thus

that even though the Tin man didn't think he had a heart, and even

though those who made him didn't give him one, he certainly DID have a

heart. If people see Aspies as people without empathy, the Tin Man

certainly shows that people supposedly without a heart DO have empathy.
