What does this have to do with the book 'Splitting'? fyi - the book has lots of good crossover info for KOs regardless if you're divorcing a BP or not. Pertinent info regards protecting yourself from BP encounters of all kinds. fwiw tuning into RADIOHEAD, sunsh

Guest guest
Unfortunately, since we have no legal contract with our nadas/fadas, it is so much harder to get our rights protected. I don't think we will ever see the day that there is some kind of testing done before marriage/children.....but what about requiring future parents, or at the time the child is born...having the parents sign some kind of legal document stating what they are required to provide for their children....something that we KOs can later sue them on? Just a kernel of an idea....and probably a fantasy idea at that...but wouldn't it be great if all children had more legal recourse than they do now. Guest guest
Announcement from Randi Kreger: For anyone with a BP spouse: << Since I began researching BPD 10 years or so again, a huge problem has been how SOME SOME SOME blaming, rather viscous (and very ill) undiagnosed BPs have used the law in distortion campaigns that cost the non money, hurt or confused the children, and created chaos. FOR THE FIRST TIME, WE HAVE A RESOURCE FOR YOU. It's $55,000 worth of advice from a clinician who is ALSO an attorney who specializes in divorcing exactly this kind of BP. · There is only one catch. To get the most out of it, you need to get it NOW if you're married to a BP, even if you know you NEVER NEVER NEVER will EVER face a divorce. The booklet (150 pages, 8.5 x 11 " ) is titled SPLITTING: PROTECTING YOURSELF WHEN DIVORCING A PURSUASIVE BLAMER. I may change the title so that even people who want to stay will get it so they could be prepared. Because even if YOU never want a divorce, your spouse could want one tomorrow, even if today he or she says he/she will not die without you. · If you just know you're going to STAY in a relationship, the booklet " Love and Loathing: Protecting Your Mental Health and Legal Rights When Your Partner Has Borderline Personality Disorder " suggests ways you can STAY and still maintain your sanity. · Since so many people are in the middle of the two (stay, leave, whatever), I'm going to try offering BOTH of them for WHATEVER you and/or your spouse decides at a discount. Kind of a preparation for SPLITTING or STAYING with your spouse. Both together are normally $42, but if you get both between now and April 15th I'm chopping off $7 and reducing it to $35. I'm interested in getting feedback from people NOT considering a divorce. · You're going to have to trust me on this. You can only get either of the booklets (or the packet) by calling 888-35-SHELL. Or writing bookch@.... I am telling them now, so give them a few days to explain it to their nighttime answering service and other operators. If the person you call doesn't know about it, call during the day eastern time and talk to or Diane.
