Other than that observation, I suspect you're right, or as ew stated, people just don't pay much attention to what's going on around them. I suspect (to put this back on topic, LOL) that our eating healthy fare every day (plus getting our Omega 3's) sets our brain on rapid fire so we are quite aware of our environment and are always parsing additional information in order to further avail ourselves of a healthy lifestyle!! Guest guest
This is getting ridiculous. I thought I would try to give this poor soul step-by-step directions on how to do this by unsubscribing myself (and then re-subscribing!). I got as far as clicking the " unsubscribe " at the bottom of this email. An email page comes up with the name of the group in the " To " field, and " unsubscribe " in the subject field. I didn't go any further, but previous experience with similar situations tells me that you simply press " send " at that point. Usually you get a confirmation email saying you've been unsubscribed. It's not exactly rocket science. If anyone can think of a reason not to do this, please post it here. I won't be doing this immediately. Thanks! Guest guest
I think is like this: go to YAHOO groups select sprout people group select edit membership in top scroll down page select leave group Sorry I have been away for a long while so I am ignorant what the discussion is all about. But, I believe that only by going to your own personal list of Yahoo groups you can leave. > > > > > Gloria, > > > > > > You have to do it yourself... if you look at the bottom of THIS mail in the > >right hand corner, there is a link to UNSUBSCRIBE.. click that & follow the > >prompts. > > > > > > > > Good Luck! > > > > > > > > > To: " sproutpeople " <sproutpeople > > > > Sent: Wednesday, May 4, 2011 9:35 AM > > > Subject: Re: Please remove me from group > > > > > > > > > PLEASE I beg of you REMOVE me from group! this is TERROR!!!!!! > > > > > >

Guest guest
I agree, . Always keeping in mind that sometimes people post the " same information " and it shows up before the poster has even seen the other reply/ies. Hard to avoid some (unintended) duplicates. Since I don't have a cell phone or an iPad or any other device to connect to the Internet, it never occurred to me that someone might be connecting via one of those. Thanks for pointing that out. Good to get all the facts before trying to come up with the solution, even though sometimes we aren't aware enough to ask the questions that would ascertain the facts.. It never hurts to light a candle instead of cursing the darkness. Guest guest
Terror in the shear quantity of messages every day!!!! I find them entertaining, but I am kinda stuck in one spot with a broke leg so it takes very little to amuse me!! When I get back to work ( soon) I will no longer have time to read all the messages and will switch my settings to no messages. I will miss every one, but will not have time to sort threw this many messages every day. Some times I only check my e mail a few times a month! So a terror may be correct from a certain point of view! Nothing against any of the people here!!! Just an observation. > There is a " leave the group " button under the Edit Membership page at the very bottom on the right hand side... not sure what you were looking at. Guest guest
Thank you Patti, The button is there tonight but it was not there last night. I wonder if my issue last night was that I was on my lap top. Should not have made a difference but I don't know. No I don't think this group is a terror, however I think that post came after several messages asking to be removed and stating that the link did not work for them. They were getting the same instructions over and over and the same instructions were not working. Yes, the person could have been nicer also. > There is a " leave the group " button under the Edit Membership page at the > very bottom on the right hand side... not sure what you were looking at. Guest guest
My husbands old phone we sometimes used to go online and some sites it was extremely frustrating because it so different from what we were used to on our PC. His new phone we have not figured out how to surf the web it is so confusing. Recently a friend was complaining that she was getting all sorts of Facebook game notifications on her phone, she was getting alerted every time one came thru. I told her just go in and turn off the games notification, and her response was I know, but I cannot do that from my phone I can only do that from a computer. I do recall when using my husbands phone sending some rather important emails that never arrived. So the internet phone tech. does have it's issues. I hope that I have not stepped on any toes here, that was not my intention. I am just the type of person that even when someone has wronged me, I try to look at it from their perspective to try and understand their feelings. Guest guest
Hi. Do you know how many people I know who have cell phones that can surf the net, and when I ask them " do you go on youtube? " they look at me and say " I have no idea how to use this thing " . And when I ask them " then why on earth do you have this kind of phone " ? they always say: " Because my kids bought it for me, they want me to have a cell phone, I'm on their plan, we all have the same thing, and all I know how to do is make phone calls " I laugh my head off. I know me. If I had one of these smart phones, I'd be youtubing my sprout channel all day. ROFL.
