Yup, it's the ink they use.

Naw, it's just the ink that's special. The labels are just regular

ones, so they would get cruddy if gotten wet alot. In that case, you

would have to put some protection over them. I guess you could try

photo paper, but then, you have to cut them like your vinyl sheets.

jet doesn't smear or bleed even if it gets soaked, but the paper

that the label coating is on gets soft. After a short time the whole

label looks nasty, so for anything going in the shower I do a

laminate over.

around with them yet. The problem with those is they are full sheet

and I really love all of the shapes I can get in the water resistant.

I just tested out one of the labels I did on my epson. It didn't smudge

when I applied water. I didn't try the oil though. I usually coat my labels

with Krylon, then use them on stuff.

Someone posted info about a label company that lets you design online

and prints your labels foryou on waterproof paper. The best part is

they were reasonably priced. It says images.com in my notes but

thats not correct. Does this ring any bells of perhaps someone knows

of another company thanks dolores

MMS has a label service. I've never had them priced though.

I think that the information about ordering labels was posted by Teri, and I

think that she gave this site address:

www.lightninglabels.com

Good luck!

I don't know how cost effective you would consider this, but, what

about putting another clear label over the top?

, in Seattle :)

I have seen vinyl labels for sale on the internet. I was thinking of getting

these except my lids are black so I don't think the printing will show up on

them. Try a yahoo search for vinyl labels.
