Guest guest Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Naw, it's just the ink that's special. The labels are just regular ones, so they would get cruddy if gotten wet alot. In that case, you would have to put some protection over them. I guess you could try photo paper, but then, you have to cut them like your vinyl sheets. > Does the label itself stand up if it gets wet? > > I have " water resistant " labels and the ink from my regular ink jet doesn't smear or bleed even if it gets soaked, but the paper that the label coating is on gets soft. After a short time the whole label looks nasty, so for anything going in the shower I do a laminate over. > > I just got some vinyl labels, but haven't had the time to play around with them yet. The problem with those is they are full sheet and I really love all of the shapes I can get in the water resistant. > > Heidi > Quote

I just tested out one of the labels I did on my epson. It didn't smudge when I applied water. I didn't try the oil though. I usually coat my labels with Krylon, then use them on stuff. in Cambridge ~~Madness takes its toll, please have the exact change~~ Quote

The best part is they were reasonably priced. It says images.com in my notes but thats not correct. Does this ring any bells of perhaps someone knows of another company thanks dolores Quote

Guest guest Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 I have seen vinyl labels for sale on the internet. I was thinking of getting these except my lids are black so I don't think the printing will show up on them. Try a yahoo search for vinyl labels. wrote:I'm having a really hard time locating clear waterproof labels that I can print my logo on from my home computer.
