Hi Manon,

You have to do more frequent skin checks at first, but he's even

allowed to sleep in it that first night as long as he doesn't have

any non-fading red spots. Just use the paint time as his hour off

and use a fan to help speed dry it to keep as close to that hour as

you can. I never painted Hannah's bands, so I don't know the

answers to your other questions, but hopefully someone who does will

chime in! Good luck Monday!

That is why I decided to do stickers. I was worried that it would

take too long to paint and I really wanted to start wearing

the band right away. We were in the band full time from day one with

skin checks in the middle. Most skin checks were only 30 mins b/c

the red spots faded fast.

Look in the " Files " section of this site. There's a folder called Books and

Study Guides, where Jeanetta gives her opinion of the various publications.

You can also go to Amazon.com and search " pharmacy technician " for even more

options. Some of the listings include a customer review of the publication.

Watch out though----I've noticed that some of the " reviews " weren't really

reviews at all, but one of the authors posing as a very satisfied customer.

Also see if your local public or college library has any books training/review

manuals on hand, or if they can do an inter/intra library loan. This is by far

the most economical approach, but it can take a bit of time so I wouldn't

recommend it for those needing resources in a hurry.

Good luck,

Dora

I've never seen a published minimum, but this article suggests 10 hours of

behavioral intervention is not much better than commonly available eclectic

programs.

Abstract:

We retrospectively compared 2 groups of children receiving either behavioral

treatment (n=13) or eclectic treatment (n=15) for an average of 12 hours per

week. Children were assessed on intelligence, language, adaptive functioning and

maladaptive behavior at pretreatment and 2 years into treatment. The groups did

not differ significantly at pretreatment. After 2 years of treatment, the

behavioral group made larger gains than the eclectic group in most areas.

However, gains were more modest than those reported in previous studies with

children receiving more intensive behavioral treatment, and it is questionable

whether they were clinically significant.

Quick question:

We have some parents that can only afford 1 to 2 hours a week and we are

worried as to whether this will be sufficient to provide any benefit?

We are working on training the parents and also trying to get their Medicaid

What other suggestions do you have?

Yes, all implants create a capsule, it is the body's way of walling

off the foreign object.

Dianne, The presence of capsular contraction is proof she had capsules . . . The capsules are what contracted. Contraction usually represents indication that the body has stepped up it's defenses against the foreign materials. A woman can get sick even if she doesn't have capsular contraction though! Rogene
