Hi Donna,

Excess blood flow is from excess estrogen. Progesterone should balance it.

I am under the impression that this is the problem as well. The Dr had

put me on progesterone pills and I had started them about the week

before the bleedind started. I missed taking the pills by about 12

hours one day and the bleeding started. Like you said it was " like

urinating blood. " This had happened a couple of time in the passt but

it had stopped about 12-24 hours after it stated. Usually stopped cold

nothing more after that. While it happened I could not sit down and

stand up with out large clots passing. During that time I almost lived

in the bathroom, unless I had to do alot of walking like at work then it

would stop. But they always stopped on their own. This time it would

bleed reall hard for 24-48 hours then it started to ease off for a day

then the nest day it would be fairly hard again. It did not help that

my work would be every other day which is why it seemed to flow like that.

She started on pregnenolone and progesterone cream and it totally

stopped it.

I have never seen pregnenolone or progesterone cream at my health food

store. I have looked in the past, but I do not buy anything over the

internet.

I am 40 yrs old and just starting with the perimenopause thing. I have

never had a regular 28 say period in my life, until this last couple of

years. I never had a heavy flow and never any cramping or pain. The

last 2 year I have experienced some heavy flow and I have some cramping

now. Apearantly I have a cyst on one ovary which the Gyn said he would

remove but leave the ovary. And yesterday he felt a lump around the

cervix which he said that was likely a blocked gland.

Today I saw and Internist, who seemed to question the Gyns motives. He

had seen my present blood pressure and stats and said I was really

healthy, otherwise. He first asked what evidence he had for doing this

procedure at any time. So I told him about the ultrasound findings.

I showed him my blood test results and then, he questioned why he was

going to wait 3 weeks instead of doing it right now. It was as if he

wan't sure the Gyn had really had thought it through. He wasn't in any

hurry to do much. He is having me wait until Friday to redo the blood

work and then if it doesn't improve he will do the blood transfusion.

I have pushed the date of the surgery back to mid May now after talking

with this other specialist. It will give me more time to try other

modualities before the last resort. He kept saying I was healthy so I

am feeling a little bit more like trying suggested alternatives. I just

need Saul to remember who he sold that machine to. Maybe I can track

them down! : ) I will try to find the progesterone cream and research

the pregnenolone cream some more.
