g & k murray, before you go under tha knife you should really do some vaginal

ozone insufflations... it'll amaze you how quick it works.. esp on female

problems of all kinds. every time my wife has any kind of problem not just

female problems, i get out the ozone machine and she's constantly amazed how

quick her problems disipate.

I have a medical situation, in which I have had pretty heavy bleeding

for the past 12 days and am now very anemic. I have been told that a

hysterectomy is eminent and by rights I should be having a blood

transfusion right now. Regular counts should be 120 and mine is at 77.

Transfusions around 85-90. Tomorrow will tell if I need one. I have

been doing some research but am appealing to my health lists for any

information good or bad towards the situation. I have presently 3 weeks

to wait for the surgery unless things go from bad to worse over the next

few days. I have been put on medication to help control blood flow and

iron to build the blood back up. If things get worse the surgery date

will be moved up. I don't want the surgery but I am out in the middle

of no-mans land with my specialist leaving in 2-3 months. The

alternative specialist for this surgery, if I wait until after this one

leaves, is not a very good option. This doctor is worried about the

anemia being really bad on heart long term. I really have been putting

this off for sometime and have also been turning a blind eye to it.

I would like to hear if anyone has had this procedure and what are some

pros and cons of the effects.

Hi Murray,

I am so sorry to hear of your trials!

I would like to talk about this on list if it's alright with Saul.

Reason being is because so many women go through this. Am wondering

what really is the cause? Does somebody know? So often a woman

going through menopause will also experience long lapses between

periods then a really heavy flow. Have heard evening primrose oil

will help with that. But what determines if one is just experiencing

menopause of if they actually need a hysterectomy?

Ok, moving on. Since tomorrow is the time table to determine if you

need a transfusion, I just wanted to make a couple of comments as one

having had both a transfusion and at other times just iron shots and

iron pill to get my blood count up. You will 'feel' much better,

much faster with a transfusion. You can feel the life returning to

your body. But for peace of mind I would suggest, if possible, have

a loved one with your blood type donate blood for the transfusion. I

know, I know, they are suppose to test the blood very thoroughly now

a days, but it just gives one peace of mind to know where their

donated blood is coming from and that it's clean. Just my opinion,

ofcourse. Also, if possible, give yourself some B12. Injection if

you have it available. If not, sublingual.

I think the vaginal insufflation suggestion is a good idea. I don't

know if it will correct the problem but it certainly is worth a try

if you have the equipment. If you do, try insufflating with the

tubing only rather than the catheter, taking care to clean it

thoroughly with H202 and coat with ozonate olive oil before

inserting. Imo, this method delivers a greater amount of ozone. I

know there are those that disagree, but that has been my experience.

Vaginal insufflation is by far my favorite method of delivery. The

only reason I do the saunas are for the heat otherwise I would just

stay with insufflating.

On the other hand, if you need the surgery, time will tell. My

prayers are with you.

Dear G,

I do not see hysterectomy as a cure for anemia. Its just a cash cow for the

surgeon. Amputation of the uterus and gall bladder are the most common

operation$.

If you did daily vaginal insufflation and took some iron and copper

supplementation, and ate lots of green salads, you could probably resolve

your problem without surgery.

I do not see hysterectomy as a good alternative or cure, but I see so

many of my sisters, cousins, and aunts who have all had the procedure

done in the last 5 years and am wondering if it is something genetic.

My whole family has been into herbs and health food from the start, but

we live in an area where there is no wholistic or natural pathic medical

intervention. We try to research as much as we can, so I am trying to

find out what could the end result be if the surgery is not just an

option but may infact be a reality if I can't get the bleeding to stop.

I am sitting here right now so light headed and seeming be worse as I

sit here and read emails. I have been holding this surgeon off for 4

years now and he knows that it is something I don't want. I am

supposed to be moving my family in 4-5 weeks so a major surgery in 3

weeks in not in my plans by any means. I am also moving ,my mother

inlaw in 6 days and my own mother in 4-5 weeks. So I am not looking

forward to anything of this sort.

I do not have any access to ozone. I can not purchase an ozone machines

and if there were practictioners that use them, locally, they are not

close, on the prairies. Unless you know of practitioners that work here

in SW Sask. So as far as ozone is concerned I do not see any hope. I

am looking for alternatives, or any stories that people might want to

share of going through similar instances. What it was like for them

afterwards.

Plus plenty of Vit C (arcorbic acid). It will help in the transport and

absorption of the iron that's in the green salads and make a

hysterectomy even more unnecessary. The MD who advised this, should face

criminal charges. DCH

Murray,

I had a hysterectomy years ago removing my uterus and leaving my

overies. It was also done vaginally. Do not believe the doctor when

he told you leaving your overies would mean you don't need hormone

replacement. For whatever reason the procedure will often throw a

woman into menopause right away. The overies quit producing. If you

have the surgery, it might not throw you into menopause, while at the

same time, it very well might so be on the look out for this. You can

always takes something alternatively (which I prefer) than their

suggested hormone replacement.

AS far as what it was like having the surgery. I'm sure you watched

you relatives go through it. Surgery is surgery. It is painful and

takes time to recover. However, they do say when done vaginally, the

recovery is quicker. I do have to say I don't miss having a monthly

period at all.

As far as a transfusion, I'm all for it. Just make sure it's clean

blood. People usually don't realize what it's like to walk around with

little to no blood. A transfusion is very often life saving, which is

why they give it. Most doctors don't just give it for the fun of

things.

Hi Donna,

Excess blood flow is from excess estrogen. Progesterone should balance it.

I am under the impression that this is the problem as well. The Dr had

put me on progesterone pills and I had started them about the week

before the bleedind started. I missed taking the pills by about 12

hours one day and the bleeding started. Like you said it was " like

urinating blood. " This had happened a couple of time in the passt but

it had stopped about 12-24 hours after it stated. Usually stopped cold

nothing more after that. While it happened I could not sit down and

stand up with out large clots passing. During that time I almost lived

in the bathroom, unless I had to do alot of walking like at work then it

would stop. But they always stopped on their own. This time it would

bleed reall hard for 24-48 hours then it started to ease off for a day

then the nest day it would be fairly hard again. It did not help that

my work would be every other day which is why it seemed to flow like that.

She started on pregnenolone and progesterone cream and it totally

stopped it.

I have never seen pregnenolone or progesterone cream at my health food

store. I have looked in the past, but I do not buy anything over the

internet.

I am 40 yrs old and just starting with the perimenopause thing. I have

never had a regular 28 say period in my life, until this last couple of

years. I never had a heavy flow and never any cramping or pain. The

last 2 year I have experienced some heavy flow and I have some cramping

now. Apearantly I have a cyst on one ovary which the Gyn said he would

remove but leave the ovary. And yesterday he felt a lump around the

cervix which he said that was likely a blocked gland.

Today I saw and Internist, who seemed to question the Gyns motives. He

had seen my present blood pressure and stats and said I was really

healthy, otherwise. He first asked what evidence he had for doing this

procedure at any time. So I told him about the ultrasound findings.

I showed him my blood test results and then, he questioned why he was

going to wait 3 weeks instead of doing it right now. It was as if he

wan't sure the Gyn had really had thought it through. He wasn't in any

hurry to do much. He is having me wait until Friday to redo the blood

work and then if it doesn't improve he will do the blood transfusion.

I have pushed the date of the surgery back to mid May now after talking

with this other specialist. It will give me more time to try other

modualities before the last resort. He kept saying I was healthy so I

am feeling a little bit more like trying suggested alternatives. I just

need Saul to remember who he sold that machine to. Maybe I can track

them down! : ) I will try to find the progesterone cream and research

the pregnenolone cream some more.

Excess blood flow is from excess estrogen. Progesterone should balance it.

I am under the impression that this is the problem as well. The Dr had

put me on progesterone pills and I had started them about the week

before the bleedind started. I missed taking the pills by about 12

hours one day and the bleeding started. Like you said it was " like

urinating blood. " This had happened a couple of time in the passt but

I have pushed the date of the surgery back to mid May now after talking

with this other specialist. It will give me more time to try other

modualities before the last resort. He kept saying I was healthy so I

am feeling a little bit more like trying suggested alternatives. I just

need Saul to remember who he sold that machine to. Maybe I can track

them down! : ) I will try to find the progesterone cream and research

the pregnenolone cream some more.

need Saul to remember who he sold that machine to. Maybe I can track

them down! : ) I will try to find the progesterone cream and research

the pregnenolone cream some more.

Excess blood flow is from excess estrogen. Progesterone should balance it.

I am under the impression that this is the problem as well. The Dr had

put me on progesterone pills and I had started them about the week

before the bleedind started. I missed taking the pills by about 12

hours one day and the bleeding started. Like you said it was " like

urinating blood. " This had happened a couple of time in the passt but

I am under the impression that this is the problem as well. The Dr had

put me on progesterone pills and I had started them about the week

before the bleedind started. I missed taking the pills by about 12

hours one day and the bleeding started. Like you said it was " like

urinating blood. " This had happened a couple of time in the passt but

it had stopped about 12-24 hours after it stated. Usually stopped cold

nothing more after that. While it happened I could not sit down and

stand up with out large clots passing. During that time I almost lived

in the bathroom, unless I had to do alot of walking like at work then it

would stop. But they always stopped on their own. This time it would

bleed reall hard for 24-48 hours then it started to ease off for a day

then the nest day it would be fairly hard again. It did not help that

my work would be every other day which is why it seemed to flow like that.

She started on pregnenolone and progesterone cream and it totally

stopped it.

I have never seen pregnenolone or progesterone cream at my health food

store. I have looked in the past, but I do not buy anything over the

internet.

I am 40 yrs old and just starting with the perimenopause thing. I have

never had a regular 28 say period in my life, until this last couple of

years. I never had a heavy flow and never any cramping or pain. The

last 2 year I have experienced some heavy flow and I have some cramping

now. Apearantly I have a cyst on one ovary which the Gyn said he would

remove but leave the ovary. And yesterday he felt a lump around the

cervix which he said that was likely a blocked gland.

Today I saw and Internist, who seemed to question the Gyns motives. He

had seen my present blood pressure and stats and said I was really

healthy, otherwise. He first asked what evidence he had for doing this

procedure at any time. So I told him about the ultrasound findings.

I showed him my blood test results and then, he questioned why he was

going to wait 3 weeks instead of doing it right now. It was as if he

wan't sure the Gyn had really had thought it through. He wasn't in any

hurry to do much. He is having me wait until Friday to redo the blood

work and then if it doesn't improve he will do the blood transfusion.

I have pushed the date of the surgery back to mid May now after talking

with this other specialist. It will give me more time to try other

modualities before the last resort. He kept saying I was healthy so I

am feeling a little bit more like trying suggested alternatives. I just

need Saul to remember who he sold that machine to. Maybe I can track

them down! : ) I will try to find the progesterone cream and research

the pregnenolone cream some more.
