Guest guest
I can usually sense if someone doesn't want to be touched or if their personal space is bigger than what I would normally allow them. I did know a girl who gave off a friendly vibe and I found myself drawn toward her until I was standing too close to her and she would back away. She told me everyone does that, even strangers and strangers were always touching her and she was really getting tired of it. It got to the point that she would angrily and frustratedly take a big step back or brush their hands off. I don't know why she gave off that vibe, I think it's because she was free-spirit type person. I go through stages. Sometimes I am touchy-feely but more often I'm I'm not. If someone touches me when I'm not, it will startle me. If someone is too touchy-feely with me I'll feel claustrophobic. I do hug people a lot because I see how good it makes them feel and it is a good way to make up for my seeming aloofness at times. > > > " (when I conveniently had a blowout on a slow street in front of > a > > tire emporium) " > > > > Maybe they threw tacks into the street in front of their shop! > > > > " and I got into a conversation with another man who was waiting on > > this very point. " Ooooooooooo I couldn't do that - I only hug people very rarely (with the exception of my son - or maybe if I am intimitely involved with someone). I have very rarely hugged others and only if I felt they really needed it - as I cannot stand it. Actually the first time a previous boyfriend hugged me for the first time I just froze and felt nothing - but once I overcame this I tried the hug again with feeling :-) I am described as aloof and stand-offish, but that does not seem to stop people approaching me and touching me - even complete strangers! > > > > " (when I conveniently had a blowout on a slow street in front > of > > a > > > tire emporium) " > > > > > > Maybe they threw tacks into the street in front of their shop! > > > > > > " and I got into a conversation with another man who was waiting > on > > > this very point.
