Guest guest
I realize I'm fairly new to this list, so maybe this was something that was discussed before I joined.... but could please explain how he came to choose OLE as a recovery method for his two children? Did you first try Valtrex and then add the OLE? Do you currently use any antivirals, or did the course of OLE do the trick? Sorry for the questions, but I was just getting to understand how Valtrex works, and now I'm reading about a recovery using OLE and I'm not sure if it was in addition or instead of the Valtrex? Thanks, Sheryl Re: OLE/ Virastop trial(Stan) Questions 1,2,3. The answer is, there really is no good answer. I am not a doctor, but I can tell you what we did and how we came to this decision. We started slow and maxed out at just over 600mg a day of OLE (drops) for an almost 50 lb 3 1/2 yo. We chose this for no other reason other that it was 1/3 the max adult dose (for a 150 lb. adult) on the bottle. It was very effective when used this way for us. As far as headbanging, I think what your child could be experiencing is the healing regression that we saw along with the Valtrex kids. Our son's was horrible, and yes, at first it will freak you out and you may become scared and quit. He was miserable and temporarily lost months of gains. I think that the regression will rear its ugly head in a variety of different ways. It was very different in my son than in my daughter. Also make sure that you combat yeast with whatever you have found effective for your child. We use a number of things, and switch them around, although be careful of what you use as some of the yeast fighters out there actually contain OLE (like Yeast Aid). If you use them be aware that you are giving more OLE than what you decide on.I would give the OLE a chance to do its thing. We stopped chelating for a month because our son and daughter were so sick. We wanted to eliminate other things that could interfere or make him more miserable. Viral die off is really not fun to go through. It was the gains that kept pushing us forward until day 34 and then it was gone as quickly as it came, just how Stan described it in his video on day 21 for his son.We continued until we stopped seeing gains. It may take you awhile to see your first ones in your child if at all. The fact that you are seeing some regressive behaviors may be telling us that it may be your son's way of responding. You seem to be doing so many other things, it is hard to say.I am with Stan on the HBOT. I don't know if I would do them at the same time. HBOT in itself is very effective at killing viruses. I would do your child a favor and maybe pick that up afterwards. I would be afraid that it would be too hard on my little guy.I hope this helps.> > > >> > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose > Vitamin > > A > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
Honestly, the OLE experience started completely by accident. Really! We had heard of people using antivirals, but we did not have a Valtrex friendly doctor at the time, so it was not an immediate option for us. We thought we would play around with natural antivirals after a two day hi dose vitamin A blowout, and then the kids got rashes after we gave them OLE. That is when the magic and fun started --> 34 days of regressive hell, accompanied by big gains. Anyway, I had heard of this group so I joined out of curiosity. I was floored when I read what was happening with these kids on Valtrex. I was seeing what I thought was the same thing with the healing regression on OLE. I did not know it at the time, so we took it day by day. I did not want to jump to any conclusions. We stopped antivirals temporarily after the healing regression, because we did a news story, and we wanted our son to get out of the regression while on camera. I wanted to keep him on a maintenance dose, but we would have still seen some regressive behaviors, I think. Anyway, I consider my daughter (who is very young and never had a diagnosis because we caught it early) recovered from using OLE and supplementation. She became age appropriate across the board after her healing regression. Josh made big gains, but he only has a symptom or two left to get rid of before I would consider him recovered. Josh had made the majority of his progress with chelation prior to OLE. OLE helped him catch up in other areas and even move ahead of his peers in some areas. His sentences were longer and speech became clearer. I also think he is chelating better. He is still a little toxic. We are now pulling the mercury and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We recently tried a second round of OLE and added Virastop. We saw a little regression for about a week or so. It seems to be gone, and we will eventually stop both. We are going to try Valtrex in the near future (probably June when preschool is out) to see if anything else comes out. Stan and I talked at the DAN! and we are unsure if Valtrex gets anything that OLE/Virastop does not or vice wersa. That is when the wheels started spinning upstairs. We are now at a point where the rest of the group may be able to help us gather data on this to see if there is a benefit of doing both, and in a few different orders. It should be interesting. One other thing to note, my kids' supplementation schedule changed entirely after the healing regression. Their bodies were different. The very things that used to calm them down agitated them. I do not know if others have experienced this, but it was weird. It was almost like starting over on supplementation for us. > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two > day, high dose > > Vitamin > > > A > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
, were both your kids vaccinated? If they were not, I was wondering what gave them the viruses. Guest guest
I have a question about the healing regression. I was always told my dan , that if you see regression you should stop whatever you are giving. It dosenot seem like all of you follow that. Is it good to see regression? Should you keep on going? My son will have fits and crying spurts when He cant handle something. Should I think of this as a healing regression and stop or should I keep going. I am so confused. Guest guest
Hi , Your information is invaluable as is Stan's. I have yet to use any of these anti-virals yet(as for one thing we no longer have our DAN doctor), but in the past we hve done chelating with oral DMSA and some lipoic at the end and then last year did TD/DMPS. With the oral-we saw tons of toxins come out-lead, tin, arsenic , aluminum--but we have never seen a drop of mercury. With DMPS we never saw any toxins come out--did 8 months of it altogether. Does this mean that these anti-virals might eliminate the mrcury(and I am of course assuming he has some) or that we haven't done enuf to get the mercury out. Or that you can't answer this. Is it proper to start anti-0virals when we are unable to pull any mercury first is actually what I am asking. Thanks. maurinescottshoe11 <shoemaker@...> wrote: Honestly, the OLE experience started completely by accident. Really! That is when the magic and fun started --> 34 days of regressive hell, accompanied by big gains.Anyway, I had heard of this group so I joined out of curiosity. I wanted to keep him on a maintenance dose, but we would have still seen some regressive behaviors, I think.Anyway, I consider my daughter (who is very young and never had a diagnosis because we caught it early) recovered from using OLE and supplementation. We are going to try Valtrex in the near future (probably June when preschool is out) to see if anything else comes out.Stan and I talked at the DAN! and we are unsure if Valtrex gets anything that OLE/Virastop does not or vice wersa. It was almost like starting over on supplementation for us.> > > > >> > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two > day, high dose > > Vitamin > > > A > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
My son was vaccinated up until 2 1/2 and we figured out that our government and pharmaceutical companies were poisoning him. My daughter was vax'd up to 6 months, and we stopped. As far as what gave them viruses, they could hav gtten them from anywhere. They were around a lot of people. Guest guest
I'm not speaking for , I don't know about his kids vaccinations, but there are few ways for the kids to get viruses beside the vaccines. Their mother may carry a virus but supress it well and the child doesn't, for one. And remember, viruses are caught by people all the time, think of the flu or a cold. In the case of my cousin with autism, his mom had a bit of a measles outbreak during pregnancy (this was 46 years ago) In reality, most of OUR kids did get some type of vaccination and mercury, so this is usually a piece of the puzzle. My son was given a Hep B with mercury within the first 2 hours of breathing... without anyone even telling us. There aren't a whole lot of unvaccinated autistic children. Take a look at the Omish for example. To my knowlege, there are only three autistic amish children. One was adopted from China, one was vaccinated against the amish rules, the third's family would not release the vaccination status of their child. There are many articles about this. Here is one. http://www.mercola.com/2005/may/4/amish_autism.htm - Stan > > > > > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do > the > > two > > > day, high dose > > > > Vitamin > > > > > A > > > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. > The > > day > > > after we are done > > > > with > > > > > the > > > > > > Vitamin A we are going to add in OLE and then the > > Virastop. > > > Any suggestion on > > > > dosing > > > > > > and timing of the Virastop would be appreciated (I'm > going > > to > > > follow > > > > Shoemaker's > > > > > > protocol for the OLE dosing). Guest guest
First off, we have been chelating for 10 months, and we have been seeing mercury coming out for the last few. Since it is one of the least soluble metals, its bonding properties are very poor and it is unfortunately one of the last metals to come out. If you have not seen mercury when you were chelating and you know it is there, it is very possible that you have not gotten to it yet. There may be too much in the way still. Chelating is much like pushing a boulder up a hill. If you stop, the boulder starts to roll backwards. I asked a doctor about this, and they said that there is really no reason to stop while doing antivirals. We did, and made that decision during the healing regression because our son was so miserable, and we did not want him to feel worse. We ended up skipping one cycle on a 3/11 TD DMSA protocol. As far as antivirals, I think that my son chelates better after we did them. I have no tests to confirm this, but he tolerates chelation much better, leading me to believe that he is processing the toxins quicker. I am waiting for a test to come back now. Somebody gave me this info from Amy Yasko, and her viral protocol. They told me that when doing antivirals and the urine is extremely yellow, then you are killing viruses. Immediately following the yellow urine, a lot of times, the yellow urine goes clear. These are metals. The woman who told me this did an unchallenged urine test to verify this during the clear urine cycle. Her daughter was off the charts in many things, and the metals were being eliminated more than when she did a challenged urine test! There is still much data that needs to be collected to verify this one. I did note that in both of my kids, when the healing regression would let up, the urine went yellow then clear. I was able to at least verify this part of it in our case. Watch for it, and let us know. > > > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the > two > > day, high dose > > > Vitamin > > > > A > > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
I think this is an important question, eg: " When is a regression bad and when is it a sign of something good? " This is part of the art of the DAN! philosophy that good doctors (and some good parents) really understand well. After you do a therapy a few hundred times or hear from others who have, you usually learn what is good and what is bad. In the case of many vitamins and supplements, good is good and bad is bad. With MB12 for example, I find that to be the case. Dr. Neubrander calls it a Positive Negative when there is some hyperactivity along with other gains. I would agree with that. He also says that intollerable hyperactivity is a Negative, Negative and you shouldn't " push through " that. I agree with that as well. In the case of Valtrex, MANY people, more than half according to polls, experience what we call a healing-regression (what Neubrander calls a Positive Negative) which commonly lasts for 20 to 40 days and often has a bit of positive developmental gains mixed in if you look closely enough. Antifungals have the same effect in many cases. You see a die off effect where the child seems like they have a stomach ache, cold, or hyperactivity. This often lasts for a few day to a week and then the child starts to look much better than when he/she started. In summary, there are times when therapies have a counter-intuitive response and it takes knowledge and patience to get through it. That's one of the reasons that parent groups are so important. If a few hundred people have already boldly gone where you haven't, it can be very helpful in guiding you along the journey and combating the alternative... being lost and alone. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the > two > > day, high dose > > > Vitamin > > > > A > > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference.
Guest guest
Hi Maurine, Not , but my instinct would be to go back on oral DMSA (with a good antifungal since it can kickup yeast) since you were seeing metals dumping with it. There are some real questions about how much mercury comes out with transdermal methods. Some speculations are it is only working on the metals stuck in the sub-q fat. Additionally, mercury is a pesky think and it often comes out last. You may need to keep going. We have not proven that Valtrex gets out Mercury, but I have a strong suspicion it helps because my son was metals toxic (very low hair excretion levels... .03 ug/g) and we NEVER chelated him and he recovered. Several parents have reported better metals dumps with Valtrex onboard compared to without. This is very interesting. I presented to the DAN! Think Tank this past conference about several families who did ORAL DMSA challenges without and then with Valtrex added and with the Valtrex more metals come out. We also know that Valtrex modulates adenosine, which can help methylation and a good set of our kids... methylation is really what gets metals out of our kids brains. Valtrex also crosses the blood brain barrier and acyclovir does not. Until we prove exactly what is going on (and we will), I wouldn't use Valtex as a metals detox agent by itself... but I might use it with oral DMSA if that my child had the same results yours did. Either way, I would get back on what works... and if you want to add Valtrex too.. that might be another good idea. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the > two > > day, high dose > > > Vitamin > > > > A > > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference.
