I think that will be how I handle potential binging moments now. I do tae-bo about 3 times per week, occasionally a day less, sometimes a day more, but usually 3 times. I mostly do the Basic tapes and have the Studio Basic, BL1, BL2 and have borrowed my mom's Basic (BL3 is on it's way!!). I also have the Studio Advanced and borrowed the Advanced. I have only been able to get through the Advanced tapes recently, so I started to add them in a few weeks ago. At first it was once a week, but I am hoping to now make it at least twice a week on Advanced and 2 - 3 times a week still on Basic. Plus, I had some bad eating last month, so I am trying to do better again. I saw such great results at first when I was tae-boing 4-5 days per week. I just have to get back to that. I am a little worried because I have an 8-day business trip coming up - and that is always tough for eating (restaurant food) and for alcohol. I am not much of a drinker, but at trade shows, we always have a few nights of major drinking and dancing. I am getting better at ordering better food choices and not getting dessert even when everyone else is, but it's still a challenge. I will just try to be as good as possible and then make up for it when I get home. I am taking my tae-bo book with me, as well as a cassette recorder with an audio tape of one of the workouts. I could not go 8 days without tae-bo!!! --G

My husband travels a lot and he tries to keep the restaurant eating to a minimum (it's hard because one of the points of the conferences is to socialize and network and that is usually done at meals) by immediately going to a grocery store and picking up fruit and cereal and powdered milk (if there is no refrigerator in his hotel room), sandwich stuff, and other things (if there is a refrigerator) for meals in his room. I am glad you have such a good relationship with your mom - I think of my mom as my best friend too, so I hope that when I have children I can have that same kind of relationship with them. --G

Thanks for the suggestions on the restaurant eating. Unfortunately, it will be next to impossible for me to try out these ideas on this trip. Our trade shows are brutal. I usually try to get a healthy breakfast in the morning (a healthy option from room service), and then I am on my feet in our trade show booth for the next 10 hours. I get an hour to run to the cafeteria or somewhere closeby for lunch (our hotel is 5 blocks away, so that's not an option to go back to my room). After the show I am obligated to attend dinners, etc. with the large group of people attending from our company. Since I am in charge of our show booth, it is difficult to get out of dinners - I typically can get out of one night during the week. Usually I have about a half hour or hour to change before heading out to dinner once the show is over. On a good night, I am back in my room by 10 to get some sleep before doing it all over again the next day. I will just have to eat lighter menu options, skip dessert and the typical drinks. I will try to limit myself to 2 nights with a few glasses of wine, and water the rest of the time. One other person in our group is watching what she eats, so she and I will have to be each other's support. I will have my laptop, so if I get a free moment, I will be logging on to read all the encouragement on this list. Thank goodness I only have two major shows each year, and that my other events are more flexible!! Thanks again for all your helpful suggestions - I will try them out on another trip. --G
