Trisha, try bodyweight exercises, often at the gym I still do these

because they are difficult, and more functional exercises. For

chest, do pushups. You can do the girly ones with your knees on the

ground for the easy sets, moderate sets can be regular pushups, even

harder if feet are elevated. It depends on your strength, how hard

you can push it. For triceps, do dips off your bench. Harder if

your feet are elevated, even harder if a weight in your lap. Back

you can do chinups or pullups, and can modify and make easier if

your feet are on the floor. Lower back you can do " superman "

exercises, lie on your stomach on the floor and " fly " (left arm

raised up and right leg raised at same time; alternate). There are

a whole host of these types of exercises, you don't really need

formal weights, at least in the beginning. Harder to do isolation

exercises for biceps, shoulders without dumbells, but until you get

more equipment, you should be able to do fine.

Why are your non-body goals shot?

>>>>>> ive been trying to find weights on freecycle and groups like

it for over a year now, but i always get passed up, as to workouts

its hard when all i can do is curls and chest presses, using my bar,

Tara- you are beautiful! And, to comment on the comment you put

with your picture- I sure don't see any 'puffiness', unless you call

those muscles 'puff'!

Keep up the great work. That eating and drinking is making you

healthier than ever!

Take care-

Tara,

I saw your new pic and it's caption.....HENCE THE PUFFYNESS??!!!!

I defy you to point out to me ONE place that is " puffy " on your body.

Have a great wedding and honeymoon, don't worry about what you

eat/drink, just enjoy!

Those are beautiful, Jeanine! What did you scent them with? Are you

doing the Grape Festival here in Naples or is it somewhere else? If

you're doing the one here, I'll see if I can come find you at some point.

Hi Katy,

Thanks.

The festival I'm doing is in Silvercreek. It's always a lot of fun and good

sales. Sometimes it's a bit chilly - mid September. When is the Naples

festival?

I scented the soap with Lebermuth's cabernet.

Oh, was it you that bought that FO from me at the gathering? I just

remember hearing it was a hot seller for alot of people but can't

remember who bought it from my garage sale. The Naples show is the last

weekend of September. We've had years where it's poured but most years

we've been lucky and the Fall weather was just gearing up. I love this

time of year! Good luck with your show!

Yes, it was cabernet deux. I have the regular Lebermuth cab and the one I

got at the garage sale seems a bit more intense. I really like it.

Hi All, Just posted pics of Penny, Betty and myself taken yesterday at the mall! We had a great time talking and walking for hours!! We all tried on jeans from the GAP...amazing how many sizes we each could get into! :-) We had lunch, chicken & dumpling soup (from Subway) which was really good. It was great meeting Penny and her family! Betty and I felt like we had known her for years!!! It was a great day! Hope the folks that took our picture didn't think we were "bag ladies" with all our stuff in that shopping cart!!:-) Dana

Just a little question when you write 251/222/140 does that mean weight and

the final weight or the last as a goal. If it is your final weight and had

surgery on 8/14/06 - WOW you did AWESOME!!!! I was banded on 10/25/2006

started at 185 and now down to 174 - I lost 10 lbs the 1st week and stop

loosing now. Dr. told me that I might not be loosing anymore until the

first fill. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Millicent

Hi Millicent,

251 was my pre-surgery weight. 222 is what I weigh now, and 140 is my goal.

Hope that makes sense. :)

You definitely sound like you are ready for another fill. I stuck at 20 pounds

down for about a month after surgery. In fact, the scale just started moving

again for me, but I'm still not quite at my " sweet spot " yet. It can take a few

fills to get there.

Be patient, and don't lose hope! You'll get there.

Take care,

Millicent,

I post my weights this way

278 highest when started this journey in Sept/257

surgery weight/144 now/ 135 goal

Congrats on losing the 10 lbs. Losing during the

healing phase before a fill is a bonus. Healing is

what is important. I doubt you are doing anything

wrong. You my want to start some light exercise, that

will boost your future losses, also.
