Was great to see what they actually look like. I was speaking last night to one of Dr. Kumar's patients about being fused to the sacrum, the idea of the screws really freaked her out, and I gave her the stock answer that sometimes they become painful and have to be removed, and gave her the good news about you that you are feeling much better. I'm always surprised at how the hardware really looks, wish I had kept mine from my first revision, but at the point I was so tired of surgery I wasn't thinking about how good it would have been to have it like I have my Harrington Rod. You rock, continue to heal, and know I'm about your biggest FAN !!!!! [ ] new pics I just put the pics of the screws up. And the one of my 'note'. The one of the note, well, for all concerned with all the hairloss that seems to go along with these long surgeries, take a lookat my hair. That wild hair standing up all over my head is all thenew stuff thats been growing back. It sticks up all over. We weregoing to do one braid but did 2 cuz we could not get the hair to stay flat. Not complaining one bit, am delighted its growing! I figurein a few months I should have some sort of layered look going.I too had my PCP write a note to excuse me from the jury duty. I didn't even have to ask, I just pulled it out of my purse, and he started laughing, told me not to worry about it.Also, no ribs are broken. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. We kinda thought the pain might go away faster if they were broke rather than just a really deep nasty bruise. , I'm sorry your having such a hard time. I can understand sowell. I felt so much like that. depressed. sore. scared. and it seemed to have no end in sight. If you would like to talk just send an email, I'm always here.Ken, would you mind if we could have a talk. (Imagine me here with my hand waving at you to keep it coming...lol) My problem with most photos is naturally that I am not my thinnest.....I have a tendency to feel like I look fat. Yes, I know I am not fat but I had some pictures when I was heavier and I still see that person when I look at photos. My 2nd and even bigger issue with photos is my overly critical eye for photography in general. I am nuts about angles, composition, colors, and everything imaginable that could be wrong with a photo. I was trained with an extremely critical eye, which made me very good at what I did, but also made me a monster to be around. I cant even walk into a photo studio without seeing everything wrong that makes their work not good enough for me. Dont ever take me to one of those studios in the mall !!!!! I can appreciate good work when I see and will say so with no problem. However, I am my own worst critic!!! I dont even like my own work anymore.....of course I only do casual candid stuff these days, but I can tear up my work like no one else. Long story short (to late for that...lol) is that I dont always see me in photos, I see the girl I was at my heaviest weight and I am extremely critical...I want perfection in photos of myself. I used to LOVE having my pic taken.....Im working on feeling that way again, before I miss to many moments and memories! Deanna Re: New Pics HEY DEANNA!!
