for your approval, Ed! I'll bet your weight loss will start

again after your hernia repair and tuck. I weighed 203 before mine

and am now at 187. Don't give up hope! Dr. K told me that he's

discovered that patients actually continue to lose up to 2 1/2 years

out, although very slowly. You'll get there!

I just got the word from my insurance company, they finally approved

my hernia repair and TT !!!!!!!!!!!

Anita,

You are such a snitch! I wanted you to just kick Jo without telling her why.

Geesh!

Yes. It is true. While you are enjoying grilled chicken and broccoli I will

be snorkeling and drinking mai tais. Okay, just kidding. You know I don't drink!

Which leads me to this question: Where can I get bicycle pants or something

to cover the hideous thighs while snorkeling? Big 5? I was going to look for

one next week.

Sharon,

That's fantastic!! Realistically, you are right on track with me and

I couldn't ask for better company! You had surgery one month after I

did and I have no doubts that you will be hitting the 180's soon :)

I hope to hit the 170's before my 2 year anniversary..(I was 179.5

for about 30 seconds lol), but now I'm right at 180.5lbs..got about

a week and a half until my appointment!) Do you have an appointment

on meeting day or are you going to see Dr K in December for your

official two year ? I can't wait to see you, I know you're going to

look absolutely beautiful! says I need to kick Jo because Jo

probably deserves it for some reason, but I'm not sure if I'm going

to fufill that request since is planning to be in Kauai for

vacation instead of at the meeting! At least if she was still in OR,

she could have pretended she couldn't go anywhere that week!

Can't wait to see everyone!

Love,

Anita in Denver

=====================

Does it have to be " bicycle " pants? Big 5 would be a good place to

start. How about just plane old tight fitting exercise pants? You

could get them just about anyplace...walmart, target, kmart to name

a few cheap places. I think it was Anita who once posted a website

for bathing suits that had legs in them...sort of looked like wet

suits but more stylish...it is probably too late to order something

like that, but It is something to keep in mind if you want to keep

getting wet and hide your thighs.

Now...Don't think I will ever forget where the butt kicking idea

came from. I have witchy/voodoo ways!

Sure, that's easy for you to say since Jo would probably chase me around the

meeting room! Of course I'd 'confess' and say it was all your idea! As for

bicycling pants, why don't you just get a shorty wetsuit as that will cover you

to your knees and depending on the design can be with short sleeves or no

sleeves ? After about 45 minutes of snorkeling when I was in Maui, I did get

really cold, so it maybe worth it for you. I got out of the water early and I

really would have liked to explore more if my teeth weren't chattering!

Love you! *grins*

Remember I said her Omnicef dosage was double what it was for her last sinus

infection in mid-October? Well, I called the ped back to check and it turns

out he messed up the dosage. It was double what it should have been! ~

I always save the previous bottle and leave it out on the counter (safely out

of reach), then when a new infection strikes I can look at the old bottle's

date and dosage and I know what pattern we're in (frequent or chronic

infection) and double check the dosage in case they mess up. Which they

did!!!!!!!!!!!

He said it's a really safe med and wouldn't have hurt her, and he was

appropriately apologetic. I was gracious, after all, he's only human. That's why

God

made mommies!

Anyway, now we're seven days into the Omnicef and sounds worse! I think

she has a new cold on top of her sinus infection. I hate to think she's

fighting two things at once, though she's probably not really even " fighting "

the

sinus infection, that's why she has the Omnicef! I guess if she still sounds

this lousy at day 10 when she goes for her follow-up, at least we already have

lots of Omnicef on hand if they want to continue it! (and no new co-pay, which

doubled this year!)

Oh, by the way, Thanksgiving was perfect! I had had some trouble with my SIL

and MIL talking behind my back a couple weeks back, so I realllllly wanted

this to be a feast that would impress even Martha . It was all so

beautiful and wonderful and delicious, even *I* thought I was obnoxious!! hee

hee hee

hee. And it was fun to spend time in the kitchen and on the house instead of

chasing after little kiddies all day.

Post me privately if you want the world's best stuffing and sweet potato

recipes!!!!!

I do not know whether there is aparticularly Omnicef resistant sinus

bacteria around, but , who is 2 yrs,was on Omnicef for 10 days and he

kept getting worse, not better and now has a case of bronchitis, too--doc

changed him over to high doses of Augmentin for 21 days starting

yesterday--he said that he has been seeing some very resistant bacteria in

sinus infections in the past month or so..

CHOCOLATE GRAVY? Girl, you know the way to this fat man's heart!!!! I

haven't had chocolate gravy since my mama died 9 years ago. The only time I

ever ate breakfast was when she'd make that. Heavily buttered biscuits with

chocolate gravy over them, a over easy egg and some bacon. WOO HOO. I'm so

hungry!!!

I had my DS done Lap with Dr. Z and I returned to work after 5 1/2 weeks..

I wouldn't recommend it if you have the ability to be out alittle longer.. in

hindsight.. I wouldn't have gone back until at least 8 weeks but then again

my job is VERY physical.. I know I just didn't have enough energy to make it

through an eight hour shift and yet somehow I did.. I cheated every chance I had

so that I didn't lift anything.. but I can garantee that a couple more weeks

and a few more naps would have done my body good before returning to work.. so

think about it carefully.. just my two cents worth :)
