Can you provide some citations to support your assertion that Hg cannot be a causative factor in the development of neurological disorders that underly autistic behaviors? Oh and I mean actual science, such as toxicology and in vivo work; please do not waste my time with epidemiology, which cannot prove causation. Guest guest
My comments to Bob and Suzanne via the Autism Speaks website: To Bob abd Suzanne , As a parent and a daughter, I can imagine no greater betrayal than your public statement. As a mother, I applaud your daughter, , for standing up and declaring what she believes in her heart has caused her son so much pain. As a parent with a child affected, I too try to spread the word about our children and the grievous harm befallen them. I urge you to use your organization, Autism Speaks, and the significant funding it enjoys, to do some REAL research into vaccines, the toxicants they contain, and their effect on the human immune system. Sincerely, Houston, Tx > > > > > > > > > http://www.autismsp <http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php> > eaks.org/wrights_statement.php > > > <http://www.autismsp <http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php> > eaks.org/wrights_statement.php> > > > > > > > > > > > > Statement from Bob and Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism > Speaks > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > is not a spokesperson for Autism Speaks. Guest guest
They have to protect the' Machine', they are /have been part of it . They cannot admit that a lifetime work is misdirected. They probably believe that we would all drop dead from infectious disease if the vaccine programme was stopped / attacked. Perhaps we would / some would , but at the moment we are all dropping dead from toxic contamination of the environment or at least being so maimed by it as to provide a significant threat to a future functioning society. Re: Statement from Boband Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism Speaks I honestly feel bad for for how she must be feeling right now. I cannot imagine a parent treating their daughter so badly. For not believing in her. She said nothing but good things about them and look what they are doing to her. Wow. Just when I thought (again) that AS just could possibly be the answer to our prayers...It's really sad.> >> > > > http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php> > <http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php>> > > > > > > > Statement from Bob and Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism Speaks> > > > > > > > > > > > is not a spokesperson for Autism Speaks. Guest guest
Thank you, . You see it clearly and tell it straight. I do not think it is helpful for any parents to make excuses for Autism Speaks or to read behind this public statement. We know where Autism Speaks' stands - where they have always been. Now is the time for parents who believe in environmental and vaccine factors as the cause of autism - and in non-pharmaceutical or alternative biomedical inteventions for treating autism - to STAND UP and ACT. In New York we have formed Autism United and we are planning events for this summer and fall. Our web site is autismunited.org and is under construction. There is an alternative. One that will speak up for our children without apologies, excuses or hidden agendas. On Jun 2, 2007, at 8:58 AM, autismlink wrote: What aren't you buying? It's right there in black and white. Guest guest
Few things.... First, I am sorry , for you having to go through this.....recovering our kids is hard as it is and to have to be subjected to this..keep your chin up and realize youre doing the right thing for your family.....Also,if youre reading this maybe you should stop here and not read this any further cuz things are going to get harsh...... I find it hard to stomach the fact that any parent could knowingly put their name on words that are so hurtful to not only their daughter but also to their own grandchild whom is reaping the benefits of therapies which treat vaccine/mercury damage in children diagnosed with autism. To me this would be a slap in the face, one which I would feel the sting from for a very long time....theyve betrayed and her child....I cant even fathom how they could do this and have a conscience..... Supposedly they pay for the treatments yet they say to the public that they do not agree with the beliefs that their own daughter has? They are hypocrites in my opinion....do the PC " dance " for the public while supporting something completely different in their own private lives. I also am finding it hard to stomach the idea that they rubber- stamped this statement with their name on it or paying lip service to anyone....that they either didnt agree with it and they chose to allow their name on it to appease NAAR, CAN or whoever the hell people are saying they think they have to answer to...Bob didnt get to the position he was in with NBC by being passive and by being complacent with people in business.....either they believe it or theyre asses..If I were in their shoes, I wouldnt care about a non- profit org I started or making others on its board happy, Id care about my daughter and my grandchild, support her and her choices, and appreciate the fact that she is out their trying to help her child get better so he can live a somewhat normal happy and healthy life...... NAAR and Autism Speaks are garbage org's that alot of people are wasting their time and energy in supporting....Bob and ne are hypocrites whom are apparently more worried about saving face than supporting their daughter and their grandson...This statement just fed my hatred for Autism Speaks and the jackasses that sit on its board from NAAR whom are all close-minded assholes trying to appease the pharmaceutical donors whom pay for their bullshit research..... If I were in s shoes, Id take the out of my name, go just as Hildbrandt, tell them to stick their money where the sun dont shine, and move on....without them..... Guest guest
Well I believe that in order for an intelligent and meaningful conversation to procede it is important that the parties get to know each other. As there have been many trolls pop on this board whose only purpose was to prevaricate it is understandable that your secrecy elicits mistrust. And it is quite laughable that you would think that any person on this board would in fact cause you any harm. Why such paranoia? Unless of course you really are a drug whore as you are proudly proclaiming and if you have any link to the continuation of thimerasol laced vaccines then we would.like to see is a public trial where you are answerable for your actions for the lives you have ruined. If you have no connections to a child with autism then the pain of the families on this board is something you cannot understand. And then I have to ask, why are you here? As the members of this board are more likely than the average person to actually read peer-reviewed research your assinine comments make no sense. If you would kindly post the citations for whatever research it is you wish for us to review then that would be of great help and we can have a conversation. But really that is not likely. You like your secret identity so that you can take cheap shots and be impressed that you took on a whole board of delusioned parents and researchers single handedly. Guest guest
I can not possibly imagine someone in their right mind nasty enough to write a letter which specifically forced AS to sacrifice their co- founder's daughter on the alter of appeasement. 's son has autism, and is not the poster child for some futuristic-sounding genetic mutation crap. She is certainly not the solo voice implicating vaccine zealotry. As Americans, we are expected to be sophisticated enough to grip the intellectually lite concept of respecting differing opinions. Given that he is swimming in NPO shark-infested waters of his own free- will, Sponge Bob is more than likely to present their greatly confused, biased, slanted, unscientific, knuckle-headed view of the autism epidemic. Personally, I think the reason that AS put the disclaimer up is more than likely related to difficulties with biased charity contributors, namely the United States federal government. In order to be appropriated any tax dollars, AS must maintain " the will of Congress " which is NO connection between thimerosal/vaccines must be found. If Congress, which is owned by big Pharma, smells even a whiff of thimerosal and vaccine research coming out of AS their goose is cooked. If Sponge Bob has an ounce of self-dignity left he might consider removing this disclaimer and privately tell the critics, real or imagined, to buzz off. > > > http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php > <http://www.autismspeaks.org/wrights_statement.php> > > > > Statement from Bob and Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism Speaks > > > > > > is not a spokesperson for Autism Speaks. Guest guest
I'd like to think that there is some measure of humanity left in Bob and Suzanne . Either there is incredible gamesmanship going on to "right" Autism Speaks or Bob and Suzanne have done tremendous damage to their daughter, who has been such a hero to all of us. I hope it is not the latter. That is not to provide cover for the s or approve of what they do, it is just a recognition of the reality of that organization and how counterproductive their history and thought process on this issue has been. Re: Statement from Bob and Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism Speaks I thought about the whole trojan horse theory too, but it's impossible to see at ths point. Unfortunately, only time will tell the true tale here. Guest guest
Based on my own personal experiences over the years with NAAR, I can tell you that their recent attitude is not so recent. This is how NAAR treated people. It seems to have only amplified at Autism Speaks. I wrote to them years ago about their " Princeton attitude. Guest guest
Then he should just quit. Re: Statement from Bob and Suzanne , Co-founders of Autism Speaks Could be true but if that was the strategy, now would be the time to make the pitch on the hook-and-lateral. Old man just fumbled and the other side scooped it up. The game is over IMO. >> I'm not buying this- just yet. > > Bob cut his teeth in the cutthroat television media market. Guest guest
Henry, In all honesty, I think that is fair. One thing that just always sticks in my mind is the testimony given at the recent senate appropriations committee. When Harkin began to ask about the number of vaccines on the schedule, it was Bob that shouted out the number. The only people who know that number offhand and who would take the effort to make sure Harkin knows it is someone who cares about it. Throughout this process, when reading transcripts and studies and so on, you occasionally find that not all are against us. Verstraeten, who has been publicly critisized by some, was actually trying to be honest and truthful. Sometimes you have to dig deep and listen carefully. The thing that bothers me is how they publicly threw her under the bus. I realize that NAAR people are furious and he probably had to do something to mend those fences, but he could have done so without going against 'her views'. Even the mention that does not speak for their organization is too much, considering it is formed because of her child. They could have released a public statement praising NAAR for all of their hard work and efforts, so on and so forth, without outing . But, otherwise, I agree that we should wait and see what unfolds as time goes on.
