Guest guest
I haven't seen the film and don't plan on it, it sounds like a bunch of hype to me. Yes we have pollution, yes we need to clean up, no we aren't about to all explode or what ever colorful description he have. I don't believe if the water temp rises 2 degrees or even 4 degrees we're gonna croak. I think it's a bunch of hogwash. I bet I'll get the board going on this one!!! Guest guest
They had better be prepared . Its whats coming. That is the legacy they have been left from the last 200 years of progress they had better start the evolutionary adjustment. They are absolutely the best age to start having the truth told to them. Ange RE: An Inconvenient Truth I haven't seen this movie..but I have a question..is it an appropriate movie to show to 7th graders..for no particular reason? One of the 7th grade "teams" at the middle school I work at showed this film yesterday...as a "filler" because we have been doing state testing, and a film was sort of a "reward." I didn't watch it...but I wasn't quite sure it was the type of movie 12 & 13 year olds would want to see. " M. Guest guest
Ah well ignorance is bliss! I recall feeling the same way you do on this issue, when it came to vaccinating my oldest child. ignorance was bliss then too. I think I read that you haven't even watched the movie? Maybe you should, it explains the difference between the warming of the past and what is going on now. Also, the same crap in the air that is causing climate change -- " Global Warming " (which apparently only you and fox news are denying b/c it is science fact now) is coming from the same people that are also spewing out mercury into the air causing autism. So perhaps you should care. ignorance is just plain ignorance.

They also viewed and compared the movie to the feature film, "The Day After Tomorrow". Guest guest
I'm not saying I don't care or that I don't believe it. I'm saying I've not seen enough evidence. You are right I haven't watched the movie. Anyone wanna send me a free copy, I'm not spending my money on it. Not caring? How can you say I don't care considering all that I do for the cause of mercury? Did you not just see my post that Al Gore's electric bill is coming largely from coal-fired power plants? My electric bill is 1/4 of his, yet I'm the one not caring. Lol. Guest guest
If you lived in these places you would be convinced about climate change as your permafrost would be melting under your house or the waves would be eating your island, you would not have the luxury of ignorance. The reference to the church going was to question moral integrity which is valid given your insensitivity to the plight of these peoples. Yes there were floods depicted in many ancient texts and you will find that they too have been matched to climatic events occuring on the earth at the same time. If you read 'Collapse' by Diamond you will see that all civilisations to date have anhialated themselves from over exploitation of their resources, we have the added advantage of poisoning ourselves with all sorts of noxious chemicals too. I accept the fact that Al Gore may be having a little more than his share of the carbon quota but then at least he has gotten the message out to the USA. The rest of the world has been trying to do that for many years and Al Gore has finally gotten through. Guest guest
Debi, I just encourage you to view the science for yourself --take the al gore element out. obviously your mind will not be changed by me. I just wished when Gavin was 3 or 4 and I was first told that they thought vaccines caused autism, and I said, " Nah, just a coincidence " & " i'll eat my hat " --I wish someone would have challenged me instead of blowing me off. I could have chelated my son when he had a chance at 3 or 4 instead of trying at age 9. don't discount someone b/c you do not like the messenger. Heidi... I can't recall what it was about Glenn Beck that turned me off immediately... other than using a brand symbol that immediately looked like one from a Garth album... I wonder if Garth's people thought the same, b/c now his little symbol is different... (probably created by some 20 y/o who doesn't even know who garth brooks is) Man, I wish I could remember... it was some story he did... but I am pretty sure it was PRO bush or PRO vaccine b/c those are the only things that piss me off.
