It seems taste in coconut oils is highly individual. Use whichever you

like the best.

I enjoy both the NOW and Spectrum unrefined coconut oils, which taste just

about the same to me. Both are carried in local grocery stores here.

If you mean shredded coconut, coconut cream or coconut meat, the answer

is no. They contain too much naturally occuring sugars, unlike coconut

oil which contains none.

I have tried the NOW brand too and didn't like it either. You can use this

all over your skin to get it used up (I would think). Go get some Garden

of Life coconut oil it is really tasty and much better.

I've never experienced rancid coconut oil. If the CO has been refined

it will have no smell or taste of coconut. If it is unrefined, it

will taste and smell pretty strongly of coconut. You may have an

aversion to coconut smell and flavor, but I doubt that it's indeed

rancid.

Hi Lea,

I purchased a gallon of VCO from Tropical Traditions that tasted like bacon

grease. I have consumed VCO for 6 years so know the taste of GOOD VCO.

Hope that helps.

Mountain Rose is currently out of their 1 and 5 gallon coconut oils :+( I

e-mailed them to find out how long this would be and they responded by

telling me they are looking for a new supplier and will notify me as soon as

this has been established.

==>Yes, coconut oil on the skin will increase skin problems at first,

which are healing reactions for sure. My friend had rosacea and she

found it made it worse at first, and then it totally cleared up. That

was months ago and she still uses it on her skin and takes it

internally. Also healing reactions are not allergic reactions - do a

site search on allergies at my website:

I haven't been ready to give up my morning coffee (with milk) but I

feel a bit weird - what I assume is a die-off.

==>Yes you can have die-off even with some of the changes, especially

being off grains, sugars, and bad oils and fats. You can wean off of

caffeinated coffee by mixing it partly with Swiss water process

decaffeinated coffee until you don't have any caffeine. It's easier

than going cold turkey.

electrolyte drink, and of course meats, eggs and natural fats I recommend.

absolute hell. We have few processed foods in the house. I buy

unpasturized milk and was wondering if you would recommend giving it

==>That's great you haven't had to make a great transition from WAP.

If the kids have candida then they shouldn't have any dairy, even raw,

except for butter.

As you mention coconut oil. I have consumed a lot of hydrogenated

coconut oil and have just found out this is the bad kind Is that right?

I too, have eczema that just started about three months ago and it is

driving me crazy. I have candida in my lung from cystic fibrosis,

fingers and esophagus too. It has been so hard to get off the sugar. I

am usually a cold turkey person but it is not working this time. Thank

you all. Deb

==>No hydrogenated oils of any kind are okay. They are extremely

toxic. This is explained along with the specifics on what coconut oil

is good to buy is in my article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida "

and also there is a hugh coconut oil section on my new website.

==>Deb, you can't afford not to do this program. There is a connection

between candida and cancer and they both feed off of sugar. See

articles about it on my new website. Also see articles about cravings,

withdrawal, etc. to help you get off sugar.

==>Deb, the coconut oil was obviously creating healing reactions. In

candida sufferers hot flashes and night sweats are mainly caused by

adrenal insufficiency. You don't want to avoid good foods that help

your body heal. Spotting is also a healing reaction.

Coconut Oil

What kind of coconut oil is everyone taking and where are you getting

it? My friend has a raging case of psoriasis, I myself believe that

nearly everything that goes wrong with our health is candida related.

Anyone have any suggestions for psoriasis? I keep telling her CANDIDA

DIET. Joyce

Hi ,

It could be that but I know what die off feels like and it never felt

like die off to me at all. When I get die off, I get headaches,

rumbling gut, colder and other things happen but it's comforting

because I feel things happening. With this stuff, I dont get that at

all. I just feel like nothing almost, continually yuck like I do

when I eat sugar. Maybe it is die off and im not ready for it. But

if I eat it, I become addicted to it. I have to go back and keep

eating it. Just like I get with sugar or grains.

thanks though. Ill have to work this one out. Im confused about it.

I thought it was just coincidence, so I kept taking it. I ran out

of it and didn't have it for a while and improved. Then got a new

batch and things went back to how they were. Ive not been able to go

forward since. I just stopped and now things are improving. I am

wondering if the problem is that the coconut oil I have contains so

much of the coconut pulp itself. ITs really delicious and I eat it

off the spoon but find once I start I can't stop eating it. I get

addicted to the stuff. But far from causing die off, I start feeling

like I do when Im cheat on the diet.

==>Hi Adam. The first thing to do is to ensure you buy the correct

type of coconut oil - this is from my article " How to Successfully

Overcome Candida " :

" When buying coconut oil look for one that is expeller pressed,

unrefined, unbleached and undeodorized. Extra virgin is the highest

quality — see the Coconut Oil articles for more information, and for

the survey done on our group, and sources with websites. Coconut oil

is highly resistant to spoilage and has a long shelf life (2 years at

room temperature), so it is not kept refrigerated. It is kept in the

cupboard or on the kitchen counter. Like other saturated fats coconut

oil goes solid when cooled below room temperature. " For more

information on coconut oil and websites see:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu3_3_2.php

==>Secondly, because coconut oil is antifungal, as well as butter, so

it is important to start at a low dose and only gradually increase it

per my candida article: " To minimize healing reactions or die-off

start taking coconut oil at a low dose (1/2 to 1 teaspoon 3 times a

day) and gradually increase the amount every 4-5 days until you reach

the maximum therapeutic dose of 5-6 tablespoons per day. It is also

important to take coconut oil in divided doses during the day and not

all at once. "

==>You will experience the same symptoms from cheating as you will

when candida is being killed off by antifungals like coconut oil.

See articles on natural healing:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu1_2.php

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal2.php

I hope that helps. Bee

Adam, the best buy for unrefined coconut oil is Mountain Rose Herbs if

you live in North American. I just ordered another gallon for $28.00

US; the shipping to Canada cost more than the products I bought =

$35.00. LOL! But here I pay $23.00 for 16 ounces.

Adam J -

I agree with you and this applies to me as well. I am almost 1 year

on Bee's program and have never been able to do great on more than 3

tablespoons of coconut oil per day. Eventually I will raise it but it

has been verrry sloooow for me. My worst days are the ones where I

pass 3 tablespoons, and sometimes the best are when I only have 1 or

2! But I try to stick at 3 per day and will hold there for a longer

while yet.

I alternate between Tropical Traditions, Mountain Rose Herbs and

Garden of Life brands mostly.

Just move it up as slowly as you need to is my opinion, but never stop

taking it altogether!

(Garlic is also very powerful to me in the same way.)

Best wishes,

Anita

Hi Nell,

Are you making the tomato sauce that calls for 3 Tblsp. of olive oil?

If so, I wouldn't use all coconut oil as a replacement. Many Coconut

oils have a " coconutty " flavor that might not taste the best in all

recipes. Substituting coconut oil in recipes becomes a bit of trial

and error until you find what tastes good to your palate. I would

suggest mixing them in this recipe by using 2T of olive oil and 1T of

coconut oil.

just my opinion.

Hi Nell,

I like my coconut oil to be in it's solid state so I can eat it right

off a spoon. I also cook with it, there are some meats and veggies

that I particularly like sauteed in it such as ground bison and

onions. I also put a little bit of coconut oil into my morning's hot

tea or decaf coffee.

Hi Nell

The best way I know to get the coconut oil in is to make Bee's egg drink..

YUUUMMMM

My children down these suckers actually, they think they are soooo yummy.

In fact once in a while, we have a Bee's Egg Drink day. Like yes all day ..

Bee's egg drink.

WONDERFUL.. they beg for the stuff.

I actually take 6 eggs, 4 TBLS coconut oil and 4 TBLS of raw butter,

cinammon and nutmeg, pop the boiled water in and blend. That is for 4 of us

and normally I make 2 batches for the breakfast. So we are EACH getting

about 2TBL coconut oil just for breakfast.

Has anyone tried adding a pinch of the grey sea salt to Bee's Raw Egg Drink? It

brings out the

natural sweetness and makes it even better. YUUUMMMM!
