Exactly where in my posts did I pledge allegiance to Hillary? Now you are just

making

things up.

I, too, have seen the knock down politics too many times to count. I agree

completely with

you on that. Is she also pulling the strings of the National Organization for

Women? Or are

they also folding to the pressures within from women offended at the word " ho "

being

used on young accomplished girls?

There are so many dynamics to this fight we are in and yes, all too often

politics play a

part as well as heavy lobbying and money controls it all. But, I still disagree

that Al

Sharpton is Hillary's puppet in this. She may love it and she may even encourage

it, but he

is doing this for himself because this is what he does with anyone who steps

into his

world.

And do not bring me into " the board minding " concerning the CAA. I have been one

of the

most outspoken against what went on with the CAA and I am still pissed about it.

And as far as my kid...keep him out of this. He is none of your business,

frankly.

Who knows what is really going on?

But it seems as if this is the Clintons attacking Don Imus through proxies in the black community for exposing the autism scandal.

And Clarence Page's use of the term "autism ranch" smacks of a recent discussion with someone alluding to Don Imus' cancer ranch and his role in exposing the cause of the autism epidemic.

Good post.

One inaccuracy.

Don Imus' radio show regularly beats the CNN show in the same timeslot.

I agree with Henry. As Don Imus has said he is a good person who said

something bad. I think that about sums up this episode.

The intensity and persistence of the reaction against him on this

incident is highly suspicious. Don Imus does some great things and is a

great champion of our children.

He has apologized profusely, pleaded guilty to his crime, accepted his

punishment and promised to make his show more sensitive to the concerns

of his critics. What else does anyone want. He is a " shock

jock " offending all for years. I don't always like it and when Imus

offends (including offending my ethnic background repeatedly) I call

him an a--hole and move on.

If the critics can't move on – that is highly suspicious. I share

Henry's outrage about what appears to be happening here.

Don Imus is one of the few who has stood with us in our incredibly

difficult fight for our children's welfare. I credit him with that and

more. Political dirty tricks abound and this one is starting to stink

really bad.

They probably found out she was OD on prescription drugs and did not want to make a scene about that, in case too many people started to talk about the dangers of prescription drugs.!

Revealing. Thanks, Henry. It is becoming increasingly clear where this

anti-Imus movement is coming from. This is no longer about an offensive

remark.

Let's find out what, if anything, NOW is doing to help our

vaccine-injured kids. And I am speaking as one who has supported NOW

and agreed with their position over the years.

Is NOW speaking up for our kids? No! Who is? Phyllis Schlafly and Eagle

Forum. Go Figure-

When we all realized what happened to our kids some basic political

assumptions that some of us have lived with for a lifetime had to be

discarded. Not easy to shed long-held political beliefs but necessary

to help our kids.

It's completely fair to ask you if your child is somewhere on the

autism spectrum. It is vital to our children's issue to " know those

who labor among you " . We all need to know where you are coming from.

It is also quite honorable to disclose the sort of analyst you

actually are.

Otherwise I shall ignore all of your comments as a matter of prudence.

I’d jump on that boat too

Henry!! Although I have been told he is definitely not running. I

have a friend working on hydrogen power (it’s really great) and he met

with Al a couple of weeks ago. Al is very happy with working on the environment.

I have asked my friend to please request Al add the mercury, toxin emitting

issue to his forum on the environment. Or if he could get me to filter

info to Al regarding merc and autism. He said he will mention it at least,

at the next meeting. - .

We should try and call in to some of these

radio shows that are blasting him and try to state his good qualities

(championing our children’s causes) in spite of the fact that he said

something stupid (I don’t think we should defend the remark just the man).

If I had a cell phone I would have called in to the Mike Malloy show last

night. Most of the criticism seems to come from his earlier partying DJ

days even more than the comment. No one is mentioning the camp or any of

the good. I think he has done so much for our kids that we should give

him a little support after this mistake. -

Sharpton will end up doing vast damage to himself and his cause. And

his cause is in question. I think he only wants to gain the lime

light but does not know what to do with it! Those who are puppeting

Sharpton are going to do it from a distance. When people tire of his

shrillness they won't be there to protect him. He can not even walk

in the shadow of MLK. I can not recall one situation that Sharpton

has made better. Not one individual or society as a whole. Imus will

redeem himself Sharpton will not.

Russert revealed on Sunday that Al Gore is seeking to lose 40 pounds.

He needs to, but...

Coincidence?

Bob,

I agree with you that Imus has completely and humbly apologized. It should be

let go of,

but we are also talking about a person who spins his wheels for no other reason

than to

get his face and agenda on the tube for any reason he can...Al Sharpton.

You know, it reminds me of a few things. The Amish went through hell when a

gunman

murdered their children in their schoolhouse and within 24 hours, the Amish

people set

one of the finest examples of human forgiveness by forgiving this man at time

when the

murders of their community's children was still fresh and their grief

unimaginable.

When Mel Gibson made his comments that went public after being literally leaked

to the

press, the Jewish community came together with him in the face of great insult

and

extended their hand to him as an acceptance of his apology and took it as an

opportunity

to educate him.

Al Sharpton is not that type of person. He's going to keep this going for as

long as he can

simply because it fills his own agenda which is to remain a controversial

" public figure

demanding the end to racism. " He loves to be in the public view and to out Imus,

for him,

would be a major accomplishment on his own part.

God knows, I am not defending Hillary Clinton. I don't support her and I don't

like her

policies, in particular concerning our kids...I just don't think she initiated

something

Sharpton would have done regardless of her agenda against Imus.

As far as NOW supporting her? They are doing so because it fills their agenda.

She is a

woman and, in their eyes, could be the first woman president. She is pro-choice

which

also fills their agenda. In their eyes, they are not in her service, she is in

theirs. NOW is

coming out, and a bit late at that, because women find the word " ho " to be

despicable and

they are probably getting a lot of pressure their way as well with complaints

that they

didn't stand up for these women.

It will be interesting to see what the girls say themselves today, which I

believe is

scheduled at 11 am. If they are willing to forgive Imus, then the entire thing

loses traction

and Sharpton can scream and yell all he wants, but he will look foolish at that

point. If the

girls do not show forgiveness, then Imus may truly be in trouble.

I would personally like to see the whole thing end. It is being dragged out, but

then again,

so were all the other incidents with Mel Gibson and others. I think we are all

over sensitive

to it going on and on because we love Imus so much for what he has done for us

and for

our kids. After all, no one else showed a smidgen of the courage and

determination he has

in the press.

Show your support! I usually don't pass along these "add your name" lists that appear in my email, but this one is too important. This one has been circulating for months. Please, keep it going!

To show your support for Hillary and encourage her on her run for President of the United States in 2008, please add your name to the rapidly growing list below and send it on to your entire list.

1. Bill Clinton

This whole issue isn’t about the women on the basketball team who were made fun of. It’s not about making people’s lives better. It’s not about equal opportunity or fair wages. It’s not about increasing the minimum wage. It’s not about increasing funding for inter-city schools.....

It’s about everyone having their agenda.

You hate Imus- he should be fired

You hate Hillary- it’s her fault

You hate Sharpton- he’s a hypocrite

You hate NBC- they are too liberal

You hate FOX- they are bashing NBC for no reason

Want to know someone’s political views? Just ask them what they think about Imus.

I think what he said was true (paraphrasing) “I said something wrong, but I’m a good person”.

He has done so much for our community and I wish we could support him. Instead of blaming

everyone and their mother, is there something we can do- something proactive???????

Can’t we support the person- but not the “bad comment”?

Thanks,
