It is not completely fair to ask me in the context that you have.

You weren't asking me IF my child is on the spectrum. As a matter of fact, you

suggested

that my child is on the spectrum because of Hillary Clinton's actions during the

1990's

when she supplied vaccines to poor and underprivledged children. Quite an

assumption

you made there.

There are enough people on this board and elsewhere who can vouch for me and

know

where I am coming from. I'm sorry if you don't know who I am, but that doesn't

excuse the

way you have acted toward me and the things you have said.

Excellent and insightful points. Sharpton will not back off. But Imus

is showing he is very capable of defending himself. I think Sharpton's

aggression will backfire against him, just as it has many times over

the years. Imus is taking his punishment with " dignity " as he says. He

is showing himself to be a principled person.

You know, it reminds me of a few things. The Amish went through hell

God knows, I am not defending Hillary Clinton. I don't support her and

I don't like her

policies, in particular concerning our kids...I just don't think she

initiated something

Sharpton would have done regardless of her agenda against Imus.

As far as NOW supporting her? They are doing so because it fills their

agenda. She is a

woman and, in their eyes, could be the first woman president. She is

pro-choice which

also fills their agenda. In their eyes, they are not in her service,

she is in theirs. NOW is

coming out, and a bit late at that, because women find the word " ho "

to be despicable and

they are probably getting a lot of pressure their way as well with

complaints that they

didn't stand up for these women.

It will be interesting to see what the girls say themselves today,

which I believe is

scheduled at 11 am. If they are willing to forgive Imus, then the

entire thing loses traction

and Sharpton can scream and yell all he wants, but he will look

foolish at that point. If the

girls do not show forgiveness, then Imus may truly be in trouble.

I would personally like to see the whole thing end. It is being

dragged out, but then again,

so were all the other incidents with Mel Gibson and others. I think we

are all over sensitive

to it going on and on because we love Imus so much for what he has

done for us and for

our kids. After all, no one else showed a smidgen of the courage and

determination he has

in the press.

Jim Webb was Secretary of the Navy during the Reagan administration. Despite those credentials (maybe because of same), he was clearly against the war in Iraq. He is a principled man, from the great tradition of Scots-Irish fighters who make up much of our military. He plays very well in the South. He is married to a Vietnamese woman, his son is in Iraq.

He is principled on economic issues, very middle of the road, very 60's F. Kennedy economics. Understands globalization, other economic issues.

He makes a Democratic ticket essentially unbeatable.

The Democrats know this. That is why he gave the Democrat response to Bush's State of the Union address.

That is not a mere coincidence.

Hey, I would gladly eat my words. Since I

had the conversation with my friend I’ve seen a renewed push to get him

in the race again. I think we won’t know for sure until the Nobel piece

prize is given out.

I’d jump on that boat too Henry!! Although I have been

told he is definitely not running. I have a friend working on hydrogen

power (it’s really great) and he met with Al a couple of weeks ago.

Al is very happy with working on the environment. I have asked my friend

to please request Al add the mercury, toxin emitting issue to his forum on the

environment. Or if he could get me to filter info to Al regarding merc

and autism. He said he will mention it at least, at the next

meeting. - .

Care to spill any further reasons why you suspect this?

I suspect NOW is going to ride this for a long time. The Rutger's

women said during the press conference that they hadn't even

personally spoken with Al Sharpton.

I rather doubt this is going to blow over in a few weeks, even if the

Rutger's women agree to accept Imus' apology.

I got news for you guys. If you don't think the Clintons (Bill calling in his chips?) are driving this through their proxy, then I have a bridge (to nowhere) to sell you in Alaska.

But first, I'll have to get the good senators of Alaska to authorize the funds, however.

The umbrella isn't a bad thing to carry...lol

It's kind of complicated, but I'll try to sort of sum it up for you. Back in the

early 1990's,

Hillary started this whole campaign to vaccinate kids who were poor and

underprivledged.

The government stockpiled vaccines to give out for free to families who didn't

have

insurance, etc. Ultimately, the entire program went bust because they got stuck

with a ton

of vaccines by over buying and so on. Plus there were storage problems and the

vaccines

weren't refridgerated and so on.

It was a real mess.

Honestly, at the time, no one probably thought it was such a bad idea except

people who

were against vaccines to begin with. She wasn't aware of the level of mercury

kids were

getting anymore than any of us did. Hindsight is 20/20 and blame for that

particular

incident is really not all that fair, in my opinion. The only people who truly

understood the

dangers were the people at the FDA and CDC who failed to count up the levels of

mercury

and the manufacturers who did know what they were giving our kids.

Parents, pediatricians and, yes, Hillary had no idea.

That being said, she is not doing well now, though and may very well be adding

to newer

cases. She came out with a report/guide in October of 2006 concerning the flu

vaccine

and encourages pregnant women and infants to be vaccinated with the flu shot and

does

not make any mention of mercury free vaccines. I didn't even know about the

guide until

recently myself, but I also moved and had a baby in November so I was a bit

busy...lol

For myself, at least, I place blame on those who knew and understood or should

have

known and understood the dangers. I blame the 'experts' who expanded the vaccine

schedule without knowing if it was even safe to do so. I continue that blame

today.

The people I blame today are the ones who take no precautions now that they do

know all

of the possibilities, probabilities and evidence to the dangers.

So, for me, it is her present stand on things that I find far more culpable.

It's fairly accurate to state that pushing thimerosal-containing

vaccines on *all* American children was at the fore-front of Hillary

Clinton's agenda. She had former first lady tugging on her arm

to make some real money.

You can be certain that with vaccine liability protection assured by

the 1986 establishment of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, to

a pair of vaccine zealots like Clinton and concerns about

vaccine injury were three sheets to the wind. It's impossible to

suggest that Hillary didn't fully understand that children would be

sacrificed given that she knew liability protection was in place.

The fact is Hillary Clinton is a well-known vaccine bully.

The families of 77 middle-school students in Utica, N.Y., were told

to have their children vaccinated last month for hepatitis B, under

threat of losing custody. Government studies, however, say that

particular vaccination can be deadly to children.

On Oct. 10, the students were sent home for failing to get hepatitis

B vaccines by the state deadline. Parents were warned the children

would be turned over to Child Protective Services for neglect if they

were still without a vaccination in two weeks.

" This is Hillary-care coming home to roost in New York, " said Jane M.

Orient, M.D., executive director of the AAPS. The Clintons pledged

during the 1992 presidential campaign to create the Vaccines For

Children program, which was to become the first domestic policy

initiative of the administration. It was designed as their first shot

to pass the Health Security Act.

" Their campaign to pass VFC was based on creating a false crisis by

claiming that millions of children would be exposed to risk of

disease without a government program, " said Orient.

" This (hepatitis vaccine is a potential death sentence for some

children, " Orient continued. " Government studies show that children

under the age of 14 are three times more likely to die or suffer

adverse reactions after receiving hepatitis B vaccines than to catch

the disease itself. "

Nevertheless, states are demanding that parents have their children

vaccinated for the disease.

" It's obscene to threaten to seize a child just because his parents

refuse medical treatment that is obviously unnecessary and perhaps

even dangerous, " Orient added. " AAPS believes that parents, with the

advice of their doctors, should make decisions about their children's

medical care -- not government bureaucrats... "
