Hi ,

Yes I did have a lawyer plus a very long wait. One problem was my file was

lost for over 17 months. I do know I have to get some other insurance to back

things up. Thanks you for your help.

Hi a,

I know I have to get something and that is my problem. I am not good at the

insurance thing. I am currently paying $400.00 a month for my personal choice

and that is what I need to change. I am just afraid to drop it too soon. I

will see what my attorney has to say tomorrow, that is if he actually calls

me back. I think he will though because he will want to know about the ortho

doctor. WC is still trying to stop my income, it is all up to the wc judge at

this point.

Hope you are feeling a little rested. I am looking forward to Cherylynn's

graduation but not to all the work that it will involve with her party and all.

Lynn,

If wc decides to play games, at least you will have income from SS. I was so

worried that they would cut payments and leave you with nothing. I though once

ss was approved, wc would have no choice but to settle this. I would think it

would be harder for them to stop the wc since ss just found you totally

disabled. But as we all know, these companies can do whatever they darned well

please. Hang in there Lynn. Your battle is slowly being won. Good luck with

your insurance choice. It's not an easy decision to make.

Dear Lynn...Thank the Lord you won. I know the stressors from all this

can be so taxing. I hope you can relax some now...I know you still have

things pending with wc. Please know you're in my heart & in my prayers.

WOW .... Well, I guess there is a lesson in all of this ... make lots of

copies of all files ... it took me just short of 2 years. though with all of

our medical troubles and by the time I got to the SSA Drs. I was in such a

deep chronic depression they just wanted me to go away. LOL it was there DR

that said that I was in worse shape than our own did. dumb luck in the end I

guess when it came to SSA for me.

Lynn,

First, congratulations on your long battle and perserverance.

I'm only familiar with the WC FL laws, and I guess they are different from

state to state. In FL the WC system is very strongly slanted in favor of

the employee. Since you appear to have a history of WC injuries for which

you have been treated, it would seem that treatment for your arthritis would

also be warranted. In FL any underlying medical condition that exacerbates

an injury must also be treated under WC. Surely having been confirmed as

disabled by social security would be in your favor. Once again, in FL if an

employee, active or retired, with an active comp claim, is declared disabled

by social security, they automatically become PT (permanently and totally

disabled) under comp. Are the laws so different where you are? Also, in FL

there is no end to what doctors can order and comp must pay for. Hot tubs,

swimming pools, mattresses, you name it.

I wonder what basis, at this point, your comp carrier could present to a

judge that would make him/her suspend your comp wages?

Hi Tess,

Thank you for your note. It was very stressful and I still have a road

to travel. But I think I will take it one day at a time. I talked to my

attorney yesterday and he sent wc a note stating that I was declared totally

disabled. Now we will wait and see what they do?????? He told me the only

thing in their favor is the fact that I am disabled, so we will see. Hope

you are feeling well.

Hi Suzanne,

What the wc comp says is yes I am totally disabled but it is from he RA and

not the original injury. I spoke to my attorney today and he sent a note to wc

comp informing them of the ss decision. So we will wait and see what they

do??? He did tell me most judges will rule in favor of the employee, they are

aware of what wc is trying to do. He did tell me it is in wc favor that I was

declared disabled but I don't understand why. He also said that is all that is

in their favor. So we are back to the waiting game. I am waiting for the

judges decision and see what wc comp does. Funny thing is I loved my job and

was doing so well at it. If I had been able to stay I would have had my own

store by now, but it wasn't meant to be. Something that took me a long time to

accept.

Hope you are well and having a pain free day,

Hi ,

ss is a funny and strange system. I sat down and counted that I have seen

16

doctors in the last seven years. Some mine, some I was sent too by wc, and the

others ss sent me too. You would think that after all those doctors they would

have just put it through. Of course they did loss my file for 16 months??

Have a good day,

Lynn,

went to the Rhuemy last Friday. Because of the Enbrel shortage and

Medicaid screwing with the Celebrex and Enbrel authoration, we are getting

him on the Remicaid. Its easier to get the ok from Medicaid and it would be

less stressful for .

He has also said that the rash has is not the JRA rash but a skin

condition that can be related to the JRA. He said that he wants to biopsy the

skin the next time he sees . The pain that he has in his ribs is a

condition that is also related to JRA. He will be testing for

oastoprosis and scoliosis. Basicly the Dr said with the surgery and the trama

of breaking his callor bone and the Medicaid messing with his meds and the

shortage that is flaring really bad. We started him on a new drug to

replace the celebrex. He also put jesse on some real strong pain meds. After

we got down at the DR, we took the boys to Daytona Beach to see their dad for

2 weeks, so the Dr wanted to be as comfortable as possible. He

prescribed the morphine that is time released. He has also put on

steroids for 4 months.

Hopefully jesse will be feeling much better in a few weeks.

I am so sorry is having such a hard time. No child should have to go

Hi ,

I live in Pa.. The whole ss thing was a mess from the beginning.

Thankfully it is over now. My attorney says I won't hear anything until the

middle of June. Hope you are well.

Hi Heidi,

Thank you I am relieved. I still can't believe the judge said favorable

but he did. Now I am waiting to see what the wc judge says.

Hope your holiday is nice.
