To All My Very Special Friends,

Today at social security court I won my case. The hearing lasted 5

minutes, I didn't have to say a word. They had a Rheumy there who said the

RA was bad. My primary came through for me. He wrote a very strong letter

in my favor. He even said that with the Whipple the recovery had not gone

as well as expected. It has been very complicated and stormy. So my buddy

did come through for me.,

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and candles. I still have to fight

the worker compensation battle. But as of right now it is one down and one

to go. I also will be able to go right onto medicare, since the judge said

I have been disabled since 1998.

Thanks guys,my love to all of you.

Being new here am sorry to ask...

but does this mean you won SSD ??? if so you will need a back up second ins.

to pick up the slack from medicare and meds unless you are poor enough to get

a state paid back up for meds and the 20% ... either way its a lot cheaper

than payin it all... 6 years is a long time did you have a lawyer?

Thanks Carol,

I am trying to find out about Medicare. I think I can drop my insurance

but I need to make sure. They are sending me some information. It will be

a big savings if I can drop mine.

Hi ,

I couldn't get back to the list, we are having computer problems. I am

soooo glad this part of my battle is over. I still have the fight with wc

though, so I will see what happens. I saw the new ortho doctor. He wants

to do an MRI right away on the neck. He told me, he doesn't think there

will be any easy answers for the problems. He didn't even seem to care

about the RA, which was a relief. I was afraid he was going to say you

have RA. He did ask if wc was giving me a hard time. That was a big yes.

Right now I am trying to find out about medicare and what other insurance I

will need.

Thanks for all the prayers,

I was surprised Kathy that the judge told me. I think maybe he did that

because the file had been lost for 17 months. I still have my battle with

wc coming up. The judge is now deciding whether to stop the checks or not.

now I am trying to find out about medicare. I have to call my attorney on

long it will take to get the results. Hope you are well and resting.

Kathi,

I am in more pain and have to up the metho. Maybe the hearing played a

big part in the additional pain. But at least it is behind me. Can you

tell me how long does it take to start getting the payments? How long did

it take to get the medicare cards? My present insurance is so expensive

that it will be nice not to have to pay that each month. Hope you are

well!!!!

Lynn,

Since Medicare does NOT pay for prescriptions, it may be a good idea to keep

your other insurance if you possibly can. When got his MRI's the doctor

had the report in 3 days. They read them right away, but by the time the

report gets to the doctor, it's a few days unless it's an emergency situation.
