Guest guest
Most of what I have put on here about my treatment and how they don't work as expected to you are diagnostic for PA. I know to be sure you do more testing. But more then likey you are right that I have PA. You said you e-mailed Dr. Ted Goodfriend about finding someone in the VA they could help. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > $1 mill is a criteria? > > > > > > > And yet they don't know PA? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Maybe they should just do breast surgery and cut the > > > > > > science? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > And you want one guy to straighten them out instead of > > > > > > treating patients? > > > > > > > Get real, Francis. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My Dr relies on me to straighten out their staff, they > > > > > > don't have time for > > > > > > > it. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Just logic dictates I want the top ten med school guys > > > > > > working on the main > > > > > > > things - CVD, cancer, diabetes, and let me work the > > > > > > minor crap myself. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > BTW, a lot of new Dr's don't even come from this > > > > > > country. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Regards > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Re: Please recommend > > > > > > doctor in eastern Mass > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > You have to look at Dartmouth as > > > > > > being one of the top ten med schools in > > > > > > > the US. just the fact that a Doctor has gone to > > > > > > Dartmouth means that they > > > > > > > will earn 1,000,000 in there life time then doctors > > > > > > form other med schools > > > > > > > do. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > But when it comes to PA they seem somewhat lacking in > > > > > > doctors that know the > > > > > > > proper way to test for it. Guest guest
Orthostatic Hypotension, vomiting, persistent cough and sore throat. They felt that the orthostatic hypotension was an interaction with other meds but that the other symptoms were an indication that I was having a reaction to the spirno. Had similar reaction to Lisinopril. The spirno did lower my BP. Symptoms, Aldo to renin ratio, uncontrolled BP on various meds, AVS results, high aldo in blood, low potassium and magnesium, one positive saline infusion all seem to me to indicate PA. Current PCP is relying on my endo who seems to be more interested in discrediting the other endo I saw (saw the other endo when I was hospitalized in a different hospital). I need to walk away from them and start fresh. I would not mind him questioning the other endo if he had a game plan for my BP and he does not, stating that he doesn't know what is up with me. Think I have made the correct call to move on. I have been DASHing since April and feel much better when I DASH. It also had a positive affect on my BP, although it is still much too high. 150-180/100-130. Average while DASHing is 152/114. Guest guest
cough, sore throat -acid reflux has these symptoms.... vomiting... I wonder if something for the stomach would have helped... Lisinopril and all the other ACE's and even the ARB's seem to cause cough... spiro? Obviously, you had some type of rxn/side effect. I wonder if you were started more slowly and titrated up more slowly with something for the stomach if you could tolerate it.. Maybe it was dosed too high too fast. If it is an allergic rxn, be careful when you re-start! Starting reak slowly, lower than usual? perhaps would minimize the orthostatic hypotension.. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello Dr Grim, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I live in western MA and a while ago you > > > recommended > > > > > > > a Dr > > > > > > > > > Gordon > > > > > > > > > > > > > or the doctors that work in his group. > > > You > > > > > > > > > mentioned that > > > > > > > > > > > > > he is at Harvard and my PCP and I have been > > > trying to > > > > > > > > > locate him > > > > > > > > > > > > > without success. Guest guest
If you live in westen Mass why are you going to Boston? If they do retest you and find you do have PA are you planing on going there for treatment as well. Seems like Springfield or Hartford would be a better choice. If you still want to go to Boston then MASS General seems to have a good place to go. Guest guest
I think a good test as to how know if you have good DR is to ask if they know of DR Grim. If they are keeping up on PA they are going to know who he is. If one does a google search of his name there seems to be no end to the hits it brings up. I would bet that any Dr that has Zero interest in any thing he done knows nothing about PA. If they know know nothing abour PA then do you want them to treat you? I have the same kind of doctor but am hopeing some one at the VA has the knowledge to treat PA. Dr Grim is helping me with this hopefuly at last I will get some answers. Dr Grim is one of a very small group of doctors that became a doctor to help people. Thank you Dr Grim for all the help you have given me. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello Dr Grim, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I live in western MA and a while ago you > > > > > recommended > > > > > > > > > > a Dr > > > > > > > > > > > > Gordon > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > or the doctors that work in his > > > > > group. Guest guest
Called four doctors in the Springfield area and posted results last week. I am going to Boston because Dr Grim suggested a doctor there, my PCP will work with that doctor to manage my treatment locally. But have to say I am pretty fed up with your questioning my every move, I don't find it the least bit helpful. I am going to drop out of the group now. Thanks to all that contributed constructive guidance. Guest guest
My reason for my questions was trying to decide what my should do next. If it seened like like I was questioning your every move I am sorry for that It is that I have a family near Springfield and was trying to find out if you had look at someone there. As to Dartmouth I was tested there but the Meds I am on most likey messed up the test. So was trying to find out how you tested you. Maybe I asked the questions wrong but questions and answers are how we help each other in this group. I do try to read as much as I can on this group sometimes it gets hard to keep up. So I must have missed your other postings. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello Dr Grim, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I live in western MA and a while ago you > > > > > > > recommended > > > > > > > > > > > a Dr > > > > > > > > > > > > > Gordon > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > or the doctors that work in his > > > > > group. > > > > > > > You > > > > > > > > > > > > > mentioned that > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > he is at Harvard and my PCP and I have been > > > > > > > trying to > > > > > > > > > > > > > locate him > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > without success.
