FYI

HEALTHY BREATHING AT SCHOOL?

by Ellie Goldberg, M.Ed., healthykids@...,

www.healthy-kids.info v. March 9, 2006

While advocating for policies to clear the air of fragrances,

why not include other asthma triggers such as pesticides, air

fresheners, solvents, mold and the whole brew of cleaning

chemicals and hazardous aerosols?

They all can add up to a wide range of health and learning

difficulties including, headaches, dizziness, irritability,

rashes, sinus infections, immune system disorders, and poor

attention, concentration, and coordination.

Make the connection between healthy air and high performance.

We are not alone. We can link to these national campaigns for

asthma awareness, lung health, injury prevention, safety,

fitness, high performance, pollution prevention, wellness, and

healthy schools.

'Google' these campaigns to find free educational toolkits
