kay now, the only reason i said to look into it because of the comment the

doctor said, if the meds go wrong u got 2 years, now 2 years is not alot of

time, it depends on the stage of cirrohsis u have,

Now the memory lost is mostly confusion which can be from maybe high ammonia

level in the liver, I have the problem with the ammonia level being high, and

i forget stuff, or i walk around in a dazed, HEy i'm not blond. ja

if u have copies of the blood results or if u going in for one check the

ammonia level of the liver. kay

hey don't worry u can ask, everyone here experience different effects of the

drug, like my vision is still great except for the mass amount of hair i've

grown like if i'm starting puberty, ja

well take care

, this has given me a lot to ask the Dr. Before I had no idea what to ask

or what I was intitled to, like records, or what to do next. So all this gives

me something to go from. I am making a list. Thanks for the ammonia info too,

I

can ask about that, I have been so worried about it, sometimes I think I am

going

nuts. I can remember things later on sometimes and sometimes not. I used to

have a great memory untill about 12 years ago, so if I have had AIH for years it

could be that. Everyone laughs and says it is just old age, for which I would

like to slap them (not really) because this started at 35 and I really didn't

think that was " old " yet and should have been taken seriously. I appreciate all

of your insight, you have been very helpful, Lynn AIH

Hi Lynn,

I haven't tried any of the supplements yet, still trying to go the food

route, but I, too, would love to hear anyone else's experience with the

supplements.

About eating red meat-I'll tell you my story. When I was 19, I became a

serious vegetarian, and refused meat for about five years. I had so

convinced myself that it was poison (from all the vegetarian books I had

read), that I vowed I would never eat it. That was about the worst time in

my life for my health. I was so spaced out all the time, and had no strength

or energy or endurance. And that's when my thyroid problems started.

Eventually, I began to eat a little chicken and fish, but never red meat. I

still didn't feel very well, and developed more health problems. Finally,

now in my forties, I am eating red meat. And now that I'm on ER4YT, I'm

finally able to relax and know it's the best for me. Every time I eat roast

beef, I feel the very best. I found a source for Bison, and I can't wait to

try it!

There's a lot of pressure out there from many nutrition " experts " that

give red meat a bad rap. I'm sure that the more you go along, the more

you'll be able to accept it. Mainly because you'll feel so much better!

And, I also got some " Mega-Zyme " from Enzymatic Therapy to take for a while.

(Dr. D'Adamo reommends it for when you first start incorporating red meat).

I notice that I don't do as well with ground beef.

My blood sugar feels stable most of the time now, and I don't have the

cravings for pretzels and chips like before. Maybe because of the extra

meat? I'm not sure, but I'm going to keep it up.

Best of luck to you!

Lynn, i don't know of course but it took 150mgs to get Hunt's labs to finally

stableize. Seems like a high dosage but he has no side effects, at least yet

and his lft's are all under 15. Maybe worth a try. Now, watch Hunt have a

flare up tomorrow. He just got down to 10mgs

Kelley,

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I will do as you

recommend if I feel the need to seek professional help. I hope to handle

this on my own since it surely isn't the first time my heart has been

broken. I am just hoping it won't happen again...I have alot of difficulty

trusting men and this only reinforces these negative feelings towards men.

I know my prince is out there waiting for me...I just keep meeting the

TOADS!!! LOL

You are a jewel. I hope to meet you at the picnic!! Take care and your

words have helped more than you realize!! Bless YOU!!

, Lynn told me yesterday that she was seeing her doctor for some

problems from her surgery and she thought she might end up in the hospital.

I emailed her privately about 1/2 hour ago to see if she was home and I am

going to wait a little while for a reply then call the hospital she said she

would be in in fayetteville, I hope to God she doesn't have additional

problems with all that is happening to her.

LYNN LYNN LYNN,

STOP all that negative thinking. SPEAKING from experience, there is someone

out there, I believe that. It just has to be the right time for you. When I

found my prince, I had basically given up and BAM, he typed his way right

into my heart and the rest is history. YOU know the story so, STOP saying

that. Do what I did. STOP looking so hard and just enjoy life. Be a good

friend to someone, be a volunteer, do things with your neighbors. GO walking

at the mall, go to a laundry mat and wash a big comforter or something, be a

good mother and volunteer at the school for something if time permits. IE,

get out and BE in life and don't dwell on finding Mr Perfect. LET HIM come

to you. Or let it happen naturally.

I know, I know, it's easier said than done, easy to say while sitting home

happily married but Lynn, you know that hasn't been my story for long. I

met Rudie 1/98 and prior to that I was depressed, lonely and 384 lbs. I

really do know what you are feeling and listen, I didn't have a great kid

like you. I'd never been married. I was ALONE!

Please please be kind to yourself and let life work for you.

Okay, I'm done preaching. Love you lady!!!

Hi Heidi,

Thanks that class was the hardest class I have ever taken. I had no idea

what the teacher was talking about. There was no way to get your grade up,, no

homework, no term papers, nothing. Two test together worth a hundred point and

what you got was your grade. Very difficult but somehow I made it. This C is

my lowest grade, I always said if I got anything under a B I would take it

over. But I am not going to do that, the class is not worth it. I need the

credits to get my degree at my current school but not to go to the next school.

Hope you have a good day,

Hi a,

I so sorry you are having such a bad time. The nerve pain sounds awful,

maybe

you should call your doctor. It is awful when your arms hurt because you

really

can't do much of anything. Plus whatever you can accomplish makes your arms

feel

worse. I sure hope it improves soon.

I saw my primary today, he always goes over all the reports from other

doctors.

Which is good for me. He told me that the GI doctor wrote that my stomach does

not

contract like it should. Not sure what they would do for that since it is a

side

effect of the whipple. But he also told me, she is concerned that there is a

small

bowel obstruction. She did tell me about this scar tissue because of the pain I

am

in. I know Deb can relate to this too. He thinks she should be doing something

but

I am willing to wait. He agrees with me that I should leave my neck alone. But

I

will see what the therapist says on Wednesday. Today my son hooked up the

central

air conditioning. The unit is new but it is just now getting hooked up. I

didn't

want it but he did it anyway. I'm sure the girls will be happy but I worry

about

the bill. Sure hope you start to feel better. Have a good week end.

Thanks Lynn. Many of us are having a bad time. I¹ll be all right. I must

have just slept on it wrong because it¹s getting better. Fear of moving it

the wrong way and getting zapped is a problem, but the zaps are calming

down. I¹ve had plenty of charlie horses in my legs, but never in my arms!

Strange.

I wish your report from your doc was better. I hope this stomace problem

isn¹t something that¹s only correctable by surgery. But if it¹s repairable,

maybe you would feel so much better. Don¹t you hate these kinds of

decisions? If your doctor thinks you should leave your neck alone, then

the therapist should follow his advise since the doctor is the one that

writes he prescription. Maybe another doctor wrote the script?

I hope the therapist agrees. Some things are better left alone.

Glad you got the air. It¹s been entirely to hot to go without it. I only

use mine when it¹s unbearable to keep the cost down. I¹ like the heat, but

not when it¹s mixed with such high humidity. At least the heat wave has

broken and today is beautiful. Hope you enjoy your day.

Hugs,

Hi Kathy,

Thanks but as soon as my son left I turned it off. One problem is the bill,

which I will worry about constantly. The other is I hate my house closed up. I

like the windows and doors all open and that presents a problems with air

conditioning. But my son is such a good guy. He would let me even pay for the

parts he needed. So I thought I would go get him a gift certificate to a

restaurant. It's not much but if I do anymore he will get mad. Hope you are

feeling a little better. I think of you often, I know how hard all the legal

stuff is. It is a drain on a person and doesn't help a thing.
