Thanx SuZie, this is my first garden.

Yes, I'll admit it is a bit different living where it's always summer.

There is nothing in this world like veggies you've grown yourself - so fresh & tasty, not like the ones from the supermarket, grown for length of shelf life & ripened artificially.

Good luck with your garden, must be nice to have perpetual summer.

Went to a support vigil for Sheehan last night, there were quite a few Viet Nam vets there, a lot of non-vets were surprised at that, neither of the bushes showed up.

Yes your right. They deserve to act like this in the face of

tragedy. In fact we should probably teach our children this behavior so

they know what to do when tough things happen. Why cant we just be

truthful and say that this is bad behavior.Upset is one thing but

selfesh and ungrateful are quite another.

Jackie,

Please don't let one comment from someone you don't even know deter

you from your goal. You've worked hard, and deserve to achieve this.

Keep up the good work, I know it can't be easy. You seem to have

compassion and a genuine caring attitude, and that will take you a

long way. The world, and especially the Hep C community, need more

folks like you in our corner.

Liz, can you please clarify something for me? Didn't you just buy

tons of new furniture, and are off to a 3 week trip to Europe, yet

you lied about your financial situation in order to get procrit, or

one of those expensive drugs for free or really cheap? I know you

" hated yourself for it, but you had to do what you had to do, " or

something like that.

In the media, and this IS documented, unlike the hoax, if there were

pictures of blacks, they were " looting, " yet if they were white, they

were " looking for food. "

Granted, nasty stuff happened in N.O., but it was definitely NOT the

majority.

Of course the people in Texas won't have the same problems, as they

won't have to wait three days for food and water. Cots will be

waiting. In other words, the Astrodome was not prepared. There were

no buses to take the poor or infirmed people out who had no

transportation or money to leave. N.O. was a cluster **** and that

won't be happening in Texas.

A point of fact is the people in New York affected by 9/11 raised a

ruckus for compensation, but the people in Oklahoma didn't.

I'm not judging any of these people. All the situations are

different. But it sure saddens my heart for the lack of compassion.

We are all God's children, and what's important is how we behave

toward our fellow man. If we do it for the " kudos " and " thank you's "

we better take a good look in the mirror.

And this Andy thing with you and Jackie is beyond understanding. I

don't think anyone but you two knew what any specifics were, as it

either happened at a different forum or in personal email. Why was

it even brought to this board? If fact, when Jackie first mentioned

Bette, I figured it was Andy's wife, and you were just joking around.

But when it was revealed that she runs a different forum, it seemed

apparent to me that Andy had every right to be angry, as you two

violated a kind of trust of forums...kind of like AA, what is said

here should stay here.

I just don't get it. Sure, Andy was angry...and you were both out of

line to talk about him on this forum, when you didn't even know he

was a member! How was he supposed to react? Oh...I think I

know...he should have said, " Thank you. "

I'm aware of the irony that in a sense I'm " judging " you, but it's

more out of confusion. If you can explain these discrepancies, and

clear it up for me, that would be great. However, I think it should

be done privately, and not on the board. We're still hurting from

the Edd/Annita riba-rage fiasco, where what was ok for one was not ok

for another...at least for a while before someone else was viciously

attacked.

Shoot, I was kind of attacked by chefboy when there was nothing in my

email that said how I felt, expect to say his post didn't belong on

this list. He, too, was spewing venom, but, yet again, that was ok.

He also posted the " hoax " as if he were the person who

volunteered...as if it were the truth from his mouth to God's ear.

Bon Voyage

Jane

PS Figure I'll get the boot regarding this email, so if any one

wants to write me privately, the addy is allaby@...

Good Post Jane. And I do know that some people, especially

outside the US, have to pay for every word used in their e-mail

program or minutes. and some only get 30 minutes in the library.

so, please, if you can, set your own e-mail program to 'don't

copy the original message in replys' You can just copy and paste

the part of the message you want to answer. That saves so much

time, please? Also remember to keep the subject line fairly

close and use the OT if it's completely off the wall. These are

Often when I post, I will delete all the stuff that doesn't pertain to

the subject I am currently posting about.

And yes I totally approve of being sure that OT is put in the subject

My Darling ,

Thanks for the pull-ups re: marking things OT, and removing all the

unnecessary stuff from previous post. Once I was on digest, and I

swear 90% was the 'filler' at the bottom of each post on stuff from

. Literally, it was hard to find actual posts, because a lot of

times, posts were very short, and the filler was, like, 5 pages!

Decided to go back to individual emails.

Also agree with Janet about just deleting stuff that's not relevant,

and leaving a bit of the original. Otherwise, it can be hard to

distinguish what post someone is replying to. So instead of using

the " don't copy original post " option, I will try and remember to

delete the fluff.

Comprimise is good, eh? So I'll probably leave some of the original,

but none of the fluff. Will do my best, anyway. This old gray mare

ain't what she used to be! My original 'natural' dark, dark brown is

now a fake light brown/blonde. I liked my darker hair, but the roots

are much easier to contend with when using a lighter shade. ( " Beauty

tip of the Day!! " )

I didn't know that some people have to pay for every word, or

minutes. Guess that will teach me to quite complaining about the

monthly cost of being online!

Take care and keep on rockin' that music!

These are

common courtesy's. ric
