, you live in Provo? I'm going to BYU in August! (Having a terrible

time trying to arrange the services I'll need, but it's going to work out; it

has to!) Maybe we'll run into each other some time. :)

Hey ,

Glad you could join the list! Welcome aboard. Tell us a little more

about your diagnosis?

I'll say what I know about ; if she don't mind. She's 19yrs old

and lives in Provo, Utah. There not really quite sure if she has SMA for

sure, but she resembles its characteristics. She in a power wheel-chair

from a young age, never really walked. Has scholiosis & had spinal

fusion. Has had some respiratory issues and uses oxygen 24/7.. That's

all I really can say.

going to a local community college for my AA then hopefully to a big

university (praying it won't be in fl ) probably I'll major in psycology, I

I've been quiet, quiet, quiet for several months, but figured I ought to

poke my head back up. Especially, , since we live in the same city!

My daughter has SMA, she's still a youngun, almost 22 months old. She has

SMA 1, but is doing really well for her diagnosis. I know there are other

parents on the list but lately we've all been pretty silent.

Welcome to the list! Did you grow up in Provo, or did you move here at

some point?

Hey,

I've been on this list for awhile but haven't said much. I have SMA 2/3

but it affects my distal muscles (apparently rare phenotype). I'm in

Calgary, Canada, studying Fine Arts. I feel like I've learnt alot from this

email list, so many emails, even though I haven't contributed that much, it

somehow makes me feel so much better about my SMA to hear about how all of

you get on. Later!

I have added another requirement to new members, so I think NOW we will

stop the spam - by stopping the spammers from joining. I deleted that

message and the sender is banned from our group. I am very sorry about this

#$ & @! I can not understand how people like that can look in the mirror.

Thanks to all of you for your patience as we learn to deal with this new and

disturbing trend.
