I was just wondering..... Why do you have the gatherings on Saturdays? I am

probably not the only one who does farmer's markets on Saturday's all summer

and fall. How about a Sunday afternoon or something. Just a suggestion. I am

the new girl on the block, so it's just my two cents and just a thought.

Jeanine, Glad you brought this up... The gathering will likely be the

third saturday of July. Bekka has offered to let us invade her home in

Binghamton.

Congratulations on the successfull show Jeanine!

Shaye

Gathering

I know it's still early but show applications are coming in and I wondered

if there were any dates that had been talked about? Had the first show of

the season on Saturday and it wasn't too bad. A high school craft fair.

Lots of vendors and I did fairly well. Hope this is a predictor for the

season.

On a lighter note - only eight more days until we go to Disney and other

parts of Florida. is looking forward to warm weather and so am I. I'm

going to try to find the Florida soaper that had the great little shop last

year. Can't find her or the shop on line.

Hope everyone is wintering well.

Because there is never one time or day that is good for everyone. This is

whats worked best for the majority overall. People come from all over the

state and then have to get back to work by monday.

By the way, I do farmers market to on saturdays so its not like its only

convenient for me cuz I have to take that time off too.

Forgot to mention - the snow is so dirty you wouldn't want to touch it.

> I was just wondering..... Why do you have the gatherings on Saturdays?

As Shaye said, it's hard to work around everyone's schedule and

Saturday has been a day that works for the majority. This year will

be the 7th (I believe) annual gathering for our group. A lot of work

goes on behind the scenes to put this gathering together. Shaye does

a ton of work on her own, and also gets volunteers to help from our

terrific membership. We also have to work around the availability of

the hostess who has volunteered to have the gathering in their home.

Unfortunately, all of this means that some members can't come.

I was going to come to NY (from SC) this summer for my 20yr high

school reunion. Guess what, the gathering is the same day!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. LOL! If I make it I'm sure you guys

know where I'll be that Saturday!!!!

Just had to add my $.02!

I'm not sure yet whether I'll be able to attend this year's soapmaking

gathering. It's July 21st, right? Binghamton is *so* not far away from where

we live, so that's cool! Will figure it out and let you guys know soon! :)

Morning Jeanine and all. Yes on the garage sale!

I am working on the update post... But I have to work today so it wont get

posted today but rather a couple more days. People please email me at

Shaye@... to sign up. There will be a $10 fee. If you just

responded to the poll a while back, you still need to email me and let me

know for sure if you are coming.

There has been a lot of " stuf " going on here so I know I am late on a lot of

things but I am slowly getting caught up. I appologize for the lack of

information!

Thanks folks! Email me if you have any questions!
