Around the age of 13, many growing boys are beginning to take measures to build up their muscles to sufficient levels to attract members of the opposite sex. In order to obtain that goal, growing boys need to plump up the muscle tissue by consuming at least half of their body weightin ounces of water per day. Anything less will give them muscle mass equivalent to PeeWee Herman, and will defeattheir efforts to flex those guns to impress the girls. Any good Boy Scout knows that in being prepared, water is atthe top of the list. Just as water is essential to survival, it is also known for keeping the complexion clearand bright, thus enhancing the young man's appeal with the ladies. An Eagle scout quite likely has a specialflask for carrying a good supply of water, and knows that drinking it keeps his mind clear, and his body functioningwell enough to handle any crisis which might arise. The study further reveals that young men who are naturally attracted to water, such as those who enjoy surfing, fishing, or maintaining a fish aquarium, are more likely to recognize the important role water plays in theirdaily life. The ones who embrace this knowledge are more likely to consume adequate levels of water, sincethey already recognize the life giving force water has on nature. They would realize that an improper supplyof water would diminish fishing and surfing greatly, as would a low level of water in a fish tank. Low levels of water in a young man's system is the equivalent of a guppy gulping for water in his near empty glass domain, ortrying to ride ankle busters in a kiddie pool. Those who embrace carving the tube, will certainly have a stopat the billabong for a nice, long, hydrating drink of water before hanging 10. In summary, wise young men will instinctively know that drinking plenty of water is the bomb! The issue of GETTING enough water into the system can be challenging, since water is..well, boring. Smashing up some icein a high tech kitchen blender is one way to take in extra water, as is making popsicles with water with freshslices of fruit frozen in to them. Hiding a few berries in the center of a popsicle can make a fun treasurehunt or game. Guest guest
Thanks ! How can you tell when your body needs more salt as you referred to below? thanks, Joyce > > > > HI Lea Ann & , > > > > I got very engrossed in reading this email thread until I realized that my 8 year old daughter, Paige, had been in the bathtub for 45 minutes! I've heard of this guy before, but was told his book about being in prison and treating the prisoners with water was pretty scientific and hard to get through. Which one of his books do you recommend? > > > > I know that adding salt to your water is recommended for people with adrenal fatigue as their bodies don't retain water well. We only have an Einsteins bagels and their bagels are really weird and soft and full of air holes, not like " real " bagels in New York, right ? Oh goody, let's start another " food debate! Guest guest
Hi Lea Ann, He sounds like a great kid! So glad he is working toward his Eagle Scout Rank; I am an Assist. Scout Master in my son's troop--The BSA is truly an amazing organization. I am going to start teaching the Family Life Merit Badge next week; can't wait--it means my son will have to actually do 4(!!!) household chores for 90 days. I can really use the help! take care, Joyce > > > From: Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> > Subject: Re: The Water Cure > > Date: Sunday, October 17, 2010, 3:39 PM > > > > > > This is really validation for me coming from you . I just read, " Your Body's Many Cries For Water " and there are so many references to allergies and asthma being cured by the water cure. My son has asthma so I'm trying to get him to drink more water. My kids are very resistant to any advice that comes from mom. I'm thinking of paying him to drink the water - we end up paying when we end up in the E.R. anyway... Guest guest
I heartily agree - I read, "Diet Wise" (there is a link to this book on the Misc. Information page of my website) which helped me to identify my gluten intolerance. I felt like a new person when I eliminated wheat (gluten) from my diet. They are VERY often the cause of issues like fibro and chronic fatigue, and doctors often fail to recognize the connection. I have friends that suffered for years (myself included) who are now thriving and pain free AND energetic, simply after identifying and eliminating allergens. Happy to help, if you are interested in considering that approach. The Vitamix makes allergy free cooking a breeze, so you are already on the right track. This information changed my life almost as much as drinking Green Smoothies did. http://www.watercure2.org/ http://curezone.com/foods/watercure.asp Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))><

Guest guest
So sorry about the accidental send again - this netbook is driving me to distraction!!! (my new iMac is not yet set up to send and receive eMail...)Anyhoo. After you reminded me about the topic of Spanish I added the following paragraphs:The scientists conducting this very important study were especially surprised to note that adequate daily consumption of water had a direct and impressive impact on a student's ability to learn Spanish. This surprsingfinding lead researchers to discover that students who drank half of their body weight in ounces of fresh waterdaily always took good notes in Spanish class. The study confirmed that well hydrated students were especially eager to create flash cards and conjugate verbs. Other surprising findings include an increase in the ability to tolerate the antics of younger brothers, a strong desire to please parents, the uncontrollable urge to get chores done quickly and without being reminded, and and a measurable decrease in episodes of anger. Today is my last day at home before leaving for Atlanta. I can't wait for Austin to wake up and read this! Thanks again - you made my day! Hiding a few berries in the center of a popsicle can make a fun treasurehunt or game. Guys in the know, KNOW that glugging down fresh water will put them miles ahead of the nerds who are content to swig downRed Bull and Mountain Dew, when water is the key to being awesome. DRINK UP. Impress your mother without her having to nag! .._,___
Guest guest
OK thanks Lea Ann. I have read a bunch on that site, but hadn't found that they recommend reverse osmosis water yet. I have been doing the salt and water, and now have some diarrhea (yeah I know TMI!) so am backing off the salt a bit for now. I have terrible adrenal fatigue and have tried Celtic or Real Salt in water but haven't been consistent. It is all I use on food. I am going to really work on it now and am hopeful. I have to pee constantly so when it says on that site that the goal is to be able to hold your water for 2-3 hours, I laughed - I can barely hold it for 20 minutes. It would be heavenly to hold water for that long and I know my body needs it. I am so enjoying this list. I found it through your website when researching vitamix recipes, and am so glad I ended up here. Especially since the other list has some yuck sometimes. I love all the recipes and ideas shared and the awesome laughs! I have tried Concentrace and was trying something else now- might get that one again. I will check out the fulvic acid as well. Thanks again, On Sun, Oct 17, 2010 at 8:01 PM, Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> wrote: I drink R/O water plus take Sea Salt (according to the website's instructions) http://www.watercure2.org/ I also take Concentrace (Google it) trace mineral supplement - we are all deficient in trace minerals because the soil is depleted. And recently I've been taking Fulvic Acid from http://www.supremefulvic.com/ to help with my Epstein Barr Virus and for more trace minerals. (R/O water strips the water of minerals). That's just what I do. Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)www.VitamixLady.comwww..com <))>< Re: The Water Cure Thank you for sharing this Lea Ann. Guest guest
They didn't recommend R/O water - it is just what I've always drank. (there are a million theories about the "best" water - Dr. B has no issues with tap water! ( just won't go there ) People claim that R/O water takes out too much minerals (the same claim is made for distilled water which removes ALL minerals). I just add them back in as a precaution and because I know that we need them and because I feel lots better when I take them! I sent the water cure 2 website an e-mail asking them about how people who don't eat gluten should try to retain the water (they recommend eating a bagel with your water). I'll report back when I find out. There is more information on that site about the topic of retaining water. Green Smoothies have a lot of water in them - perhaps it is the water in Green Smoothies that is partially responsible for their beneficial effects! Guest guest
Hey ,I have been following what you have been saying about food allergies and am debating joining the group you shared. (I am on so many groups already!) I am actually doing NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) right now, which is what I believe the allergy kit you linked to was based on. I have noticed small improvements here and there, and I'm excited about it and hopeful. The only thing is, each treatment knocks me flat for 4-5 days and then I am back to another treatment a couple days later so it is very tough since it is just me and my son here. I already struggle to function as it is. I think dehydration could be part of my not recovering well from the detox of the allergy we treat each time. I drink lots of water, but am adding the salt in now. I do know my illness is highly immune related, and it makes tons of sense that I would be allergic to a ton of things and allergies could have caused the problems in the first place. Most people doing NAET are only somewhat tired the first 24 hours and my dr. is surprised by my reaction- I'm probably just on major overload. I haven't used most dairy products for years, although I am ok with butter and hard cheese sometimes. I muscle test for a lot of things and love muscle testing. I went off ALL grains for 9 months, and I did lose some extremely stubborn weight, but didn't feel better at all!!! I am now limiting most grains but with my energy levels have a very difficult time finding things to eat that are healthy, without being too much work for me. If I keep having this beyond extreme exhaustion while I am doing NAET, I won't be able to do an elimination diet, but if I don't get somewhere with NAET, an elimination diet is probably in order. Thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate any help or ideas I can get. It makes me so hopeful to see you guys who have overcome illness and are doing so well!! Guest guest
Oh definitely the water in all those veggies is great! Not to mention all the other goodness. I was wondering about that with the bagel. Yeah - there are lots of theories about water - I agree it is super important to replace those minerals! Guest guest
I am so glad you are having some results with the NAET, Natallie. Finding the home kit has been a GODSEND for many of us-it eliminates those expensive office visits, and its so much more comfortable to do it at home (I do my treatments about an hour before bed, sleep like a baby, then feel great the next day) The GOOD news is, if the treatments are draining you like that, you are likely having a detox type reaction-that is a good thing, as a rule. Have you tried eliminating the NON FOOD sources of your allergens? Often, thats the missing link for many, not realizing that things like wheat, soy, corn, etc. are in shampoos, cosmetics, clothing dyes, and so on. You may THINK you are avoiding something, but being exposed to it is the same as if you are consuming it. If you are not comfortable joining another group, such as the allergy group, feel free to email me off list-I am happy to help in any way I can. , have you ever been tested or tried an elimination diet for undiagnosed food allergies? Guest guest
Hi , We also use Reverse Osmosis water; however since it takes EVERYTHING out of the water, it must have minerals added back into it, or else it will leach the minerals from your body. We pour ours back through a Nikken PiMag Unit (which is a type of purification system) to add both minerals and a slight magnetic charge to the water. I'm still a little unclear about the magnetic aspect of it, but we find it easier to use than adding minerals to each glass of water we drink or cook with, etc. Take care, Joyce > > > >> > >> > >> This information changed my life almost as much as drinking Green > >> Smoothies did. > >> > >> http://www.watercure2.org/ > >> http://curezone.com/foods/watercure.asp > >> > >> Blessings, > >> Lea Ann Savage > >> Satellite Beach, FL > >> (321) 773-7088 (home) > >> (321-961-9219 (cell) > >> www.VitamixLady.com > >> www..com > >> <))>< > >> > >> > >> > > > > > > > > >
